Bring back the stretchy boxer-briefs liner!

What happened to the spandex boxer briefs liner that the 3'' Sherpa used to have? These have been my favorite running shorts, but no more. This briefs liner is not as good. It is mesh, so that is an improvement, but the only plus to this new liner. There's nowhere near enough room in the front, they feel like I put on women's shorts! It leaves me smashed and spilling out. Separation from my inner thigh is non-negotiable in this part of the world, where morning runs are hot and at 100% humidity. You have made a chafing device and I will not subject myself to the torture. I had to return this and I will have to look elsewhere now for running shorts. :(

I’m wearing nothing at all

It almost feels like I’m wearing nothing at all. But seriously, these shorts are ultralight, but comfy and supportive. Especially for a trail runs. I bought the yellow, steal with the sales price, so it’s a nice color pop. I appreciate the 4 small hip pockets for storage. A small zipper pocket would be the only thing I would ask for. Otherwise, super pleased again with Brooks apparel.

I’m really upset with this order… Because now I’ll probably never wear any other shorts again! These are the most free and comfortable shorts I’ve ever put on and they’re great for both road and trail. A huge bonus are the intelligently designed split pockets that also have a key hook built in!

Love my new Sherpa Split Shorts!

These are easily the lightest and fastest feeling shorts I have ever worn. Love the comfortable waistband and fuel pockets. Will look forward to purchasing another pair.

These running shorts are perfect. Nothing more, nothing less then what you need for a run. I hope the sherpa 3 inch split shorts stay exactly as they are.

Just about perfect

Great shorts I love these. These have become my favorite running shorts. They fit great and the pockets in the rear are great for my key fob, ID and Air Pods Case all without feeling bulky. There two main rear pockets with a divider in each creating 4 sections. Material is premium and feels soft. I have no complaints on the waist band. Sides aren’t too revealing. Have ordered additional sets since my first set earlier this year. Only complaint is some of the color patterns are girly I’m a guy if they had better patterns I might of bought more. Maybe next year.

Blue skies out, these thighs out!

I’m digging these shorts overall. Very lightweight. The liner is very comfortable and unobtrusive. I sometimes wear them over my running tights and there is no slipping, sliding, or sagging. The split on these is partial, not all the way up which I prefer. The fit is good, if a tad large at the waist (my waist size is at the top end of Medium sizing and the elastic still has plenty of give. Not an issue though). My only nitpick is the drawstring eyelets are cut too close to each other and it’s difficult to get a tight cinch with the string. It doesn’t affect performance whatsoever, and I assume it’s made this way to avoid bunching in that area. I don’t know why but I also feel about 2.6% faster while wearing them! Amazing!

Not the best split shorts

Probably the worst split short that Brooks has ever produced and I've been wearing their split shorts for over 10 years. The waistband rides up while running and the shorts have a very boxy look/feel and don't "V" up on the sides. Add that with the lack of a normal split, and the range of motion is affected. Brooks, can you just please bring back the podium split short for those of us who are still wearing short shorts and just want the basic pair? I know the typical runner isn't interested in 3" shorts, but trying to reinvent them was a bad idea.
