Another great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a few runs, I can say the Brooks half tights meet expectations for a quality brand. They perform well for both casual runners and those seeking high-performance apparel. The material is thick yet breathable, suggesting good durability. As a larger person with bigger quads, I chose a size XL despite having a smaller waist, and the fit is comfortable. If I lose weight, the drawstring should help maintain the fit. The tights include multiple pockets, all secure and well designed. Overall, they are a great option for anyone in the market for half tights.
The Cascadia Half Tight is Freedom in Movement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cascadia Half Tight really allows you to just focus on your run while being equipped and comfort. The half tight is true to size, but is not constricting. The breathable tight includes a liner and is comfortable on the skin. The part that made my run so enjoyable is the large about of compartments. There are two deep pockets that can store a large phone or even a water bottle without bounce or impact to your stride, a back zip pocket that can fit a large phone with very minimal bounce, and a front pocket that can hold a towel (though sweat will transfer to it while in the front), gels, etc. The result is a great feeling half tight that allowed me to store what I needed while have my hands free to move and nothing on my waist. I am free to run with the Cascadia Half Tight and you can too.
Performance meets comfort
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an avid runner I am always looking for comfortable tights that compress but also feel weightless. I were these tights under my shorts for longer runs and found them to be super comfortable. They moved well with and didn’t ride up. I also really like the zip pocket enclosure for essentials. They fit true to size are were overall an excellent running tight.
New favorite trail gear
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took these for a 20+ mile trail run pacing a friend for the last 1/3 of a 100k. 5 hours on the trail and not even a hint of chafing. More pockets than I know what to do with. And FINALLY a phone pocket that can actually hold todays huge phones. I'm in love.
Work fine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cascadia half tight fit well around the waist but were slightly tight around the thigh area. During use the fabric feels soft but tight. The build in underwear were helpful to hold everything jn place. The pockets were useful to put my phone in. Zippers were quality. On the daily they mostly felt good while being worn but like I said before tight around the thigh area.
nice pockets, but feels really small
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall they are not bad, they seem well put together, but they really do feel like they run small despite being "tights", they just feel too tight. Stitching seems okay, time will tell how long they last. I did like the pocket layout and "options".
Cascadia Half Tights
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are wonderful! The side pocket fits my phone and I don't even know it is there. The extra "pockets" in the front are great for some extra gel storage on long runs. I will be wearing these for the Hennepin 100 in October!
Multiple pockets a great plus
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cascadia Half tights fills a great niche: long compression shorts with numerous pockets. Now I no longer need to bring my Flip belt to carry my phone and keys. Very comfortable, true to size.
Comfort, Convenience, and Function all in one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been trying out the Cascadia half right for quite a few miles lately and I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts as I’m someone who researches purchases to the point of indecision sometimes and I’d appreciate a review like the one I’m writing before committing to a purchase like this. Let’s start with what I love: The quality and finish on these tights is superb. The material is thick—almost feels like a wetsuit. What I love about this is that I never had to worry about the tights being a little too…see through. If you’ve worn a pair of low end tights you know exactly what I’m talking about. The material is so thick, especially in the waistband, that I didn’t think they’d even go on the first time I wore them as there’s not as much flex as a regular pair of jobbers might have. That said, once they’re on the fit was comfortable, but snug. I’m torn on this because the skin tight fit kept chafing and discomfort away—these feel silky smooth—but it leaves little to the imagination. I had to leave photos out of this review to keep it rated PG if you know what I mean. My favorite feature is all of the storage—there are six pockets in total, including one with a zipper! I can’t exercise without my playlists, so out of necessity I’ve traditionally required a fanny pack or arm band to keep my phone nearby. Fanny packs flip around and trap heat, and armbands are just downright annoying and hard to use. Not a problem with these tights! I had ample storage, that felt secure and kept things tight to my body, so I didn’t have the logistical problem of figuring out where to keep my phone, keys, credit card, and snacks. What a genius design. I even wore these on a recent cycling adventure simply for all of the storage as they’re basically cycling shirts without the padding. Now, to what I didn’t love as much. The built in liner is comfortable, but it makes these a one-time wear before washing is necessary. On the frequency that I am outdoors and in need of the functionality that these offer, that’s either a lot of laundry duty or the expense of purchasing multiple pairs. I don’t love either. They also collect lint and dog hair like nobody’s business. I have a Cavalier King Charles and frankly gave up on lint rollers as this material is like super glue for his hair. Of course, that’s not a deal breaker by any means but is an annoyance nonetheless. As someone without the build of an Olympian, these shorts also humble me into realizing why I exercise because nothing, and I mean nothing, remains hidden. The way the waistband secures will accentuate every ounce of love handles and belly fat that you haven’t yet lost, but maybe that extra motivation is a feature, not a bug! All-in-all would I buy another pair? Without a doubt. It’s just try an XL instead for a little more roominess and a little less self-consciousness
