Great style with quality issues
I was so happy to see this style. I ordered the Paloma color and the entire shoe is comfy and soft except for some horrible seams at the edge of the shoe. At the arch of the foot there is sharp, hard seams not properly melded to the shoe that are super painful to stand on. I am exchanging in hope that this is a defective pair. Otherwise the only concern is that there could be more Velcro on the heels because when I adjust them I am almost past the Velcro available.
great looking shoe but with one major design flaw
I really like this shoe. It’s comfortable and a great looking sandal. However there is one design flaw that has already been mentioned in several other reviews. In order for Merrell to place its name they chose the worst place to put it… on the heel where the Velcro straps are. So now you can’t tightened the straps to where you would like. I really like the shoe and still am thinking about returning it but it’s too bad that Merrell did this.
Shoe has design issues
I received these last week, and returned them. The issue is with the velcro straps on the back of shoe. I ordered size 8m, my normal size & my foot fit the sole bed, but when I adjusted the back strap, the velcro stuck out past the shoe strap, and didn't look very nice. For this price level, the velcro should be adjustable and attach flatly to the back of your akle. Sadly I was charged a Return Fee, even though there is a design flaw.
Comfort and fit.
Great fit because you can tighten the bungee cords to accommodate individual foot widths. I’m a narrow and most shoes are too wide for me so this feature is essential to me. Comfortable footbed. The strap around the back is removable providing an extra bonus. The strap is a bit stiff upon first wear. I’m planning to wear these on my Great Lakes trip this Fall and on beach days this summer as they are made to withstand water immersion.
Cool and Comfortable
Even though these sandals are a little loose, they are still comfortable. I have a roll of velcro with both sides and added a small strip of the rough part to the heel strap to extend the area where the strap can attach. Helped a lot. The footbed is very cushy. Bought the black and I like them except for the white sole. Wish it was black. Would like to see these sandals offered in more colors.

Super comfortable!
I bought these sandals in all 3 colors because I have very difficult feet to fit and I bought a 4th pair for my sister. I have wide feet with narrow heels, bunion surgery and plantar fasciitis. I have learned to buy several when I find a sandals/shoe that works, it happens rarely. These felt good from the first time I wore them.

Absolutely the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Don't even know I have bunions when I wear them. The heel strap is removable to make them slides. Don't have enough time to list all the features that make these shoes great. Mine are gray with purple laces and orange accents. Love them! Thank you, Merrell.

Bungee shoes
I have two pair of these lightweight comfy shoes. My only advice is to engineer a better way to adjust the bungee cord to fit the foot without distorting the look of the shoe. The cord frays when cut. I use one pair for working on my boat and the other is for wearing to/from work as a nurse.

Painful arches
The arch area is hard and digs into the arch of your foot when you stand on them. I can see similar feedback on other Merrell sandal styles this year so this is not only one style. Sad since I like the look of them. Bring back the soft memory foam from previous years!!!
Quality, comfort and style
I liked these shoes so much that I ordered another pair in a different color. Merrill shoes fit my feet, are of good quality and that is all I wear for casual wear. If I find a style that I like, I usually order two pair in case that style isn’t made any more.
