Rating 0. Just received my Hoka sandals from REI. They were previously worn. The soles of the sandals are dirty. I have a picture. There are no tags on them and the soles of the sandals are dirty. For the price I paid for them they should be new and not previously worn and returned.
Highly recommend for hiking / water crossing.
I ordered the hiking sandals in preparation for hiking trip to North Cascades where we anticipate hiking through multiple creeks / waters. The sandals are exactly what I needed. I have very painful foot problems - the multiple avenues to adjust the straps on the sandals provides great flexibility. Sandals are perfect - very comfortable. I typically wear a Hoka 8.5 Wide - purchased these as 8.0 Medium width. Due to adjustability - they work perfectly.
Amazing shoes!
I was very excited to see that Hoka was producing a hiking sandal. I have tried many other brands and not been happy. We have spent a month on Cyprus and the sandals have been everywhere hiking in the water in the streets and they are amazing sandals! I ended up with the pink ones because that’s the only color they had in my size and they are fine. I do wish I could’ve gotten the black ones but that’s OK. The sandals have been amazing. I ended up ordering three sizes because I usually wear a seven in this brand shoes but they were too big. I got the 6 1/2 and they still were too big and so I now have the 6. I do wear wide in their shoe usually And they fit just fine. I also have the challenger trail runners and those are seven. Overall, I cannot recommend these shoes enough.
Super Comfy
Super comfy with great arch support. My only issue and it’s not really a big deal, is that the straps are too long and stick out quit a bit (I am a medium width). It’s an aesthetic issue.
Pass, Totally Inconsistent Sizing
I bought the Black in a 10 and they were HUGE, and as many have pointed out on the Hoka site, the straps were absurdly long beyond the velcro so unwearable. It is like the Black was a men's size, no idea how Hoka missed these issues in QA. So I bought the Dawn Light/Vanilla in a 9.5. My foot went off the front edge so too short, but the straps were a bit shorter. Either way, extremely poor design and what a shame because the soles are comfortable and cushiony, just what many of us are seeking.
Comfortable and adjustable
I got these for walking, not so much for serious hiking. They are adjustable in several places, and were very comfortable as a result. I had a pair of Adidas sandals that looked like they should be good for walking, but they cut into my foot. These Hokas are terrific and a true relief after wearing those Adidas shoes. I got a size 8 and usually wear a size 8. Technically my feet are 7.5, but I always size up 1/2 a size for many shoes now.
Hoka Infini Love
The Infini were sold out at REI so I ordered both the black and the vanilla color from elsewhere. I wanted a pair for a hiking trip to North Cascades. Usually I wear a 9 wide in women's but ordered 8.5 based on reviews. They fit perfectly. I kept the black and returned the vanilla. These shoes are a godsend! I wore them for 2 days straight traipsing around Vegas where they held up great! Today was my first full day of hiking in North Cascades but I wore hiking shoes as it was supposed to be cool today. My feet are sore ... have 18k steps so far and I just switched to the Infini sandals. My feet are liking the cushion and support. I'm going to wear these for the rest of the day and tomorrow too. I didn't have any problems with blistering from the straps in Vegas but do have Body Glide with just in case.
A Footbed to Love
These are incredibly comfortable shoes, especially the footbed. It contours in all the right curves of the foot and it’s cushy and comfortable with ample room. It does run probably about half a size larger so for a snug fit I’ll have to go down half a size.
Wish these lasted longer than 2 months
These are the comfiest sandals while they lasted. I got them in April and wore the, 2 months very frequently. The back strap broke at the metal latch and I couldn't fix it so I returned them:( I'm explained the issue and the representative was also shocked they only lasted two months. They were so comfy and good arch support, just wish the straps were better made
Huge!
These would be the perfect sandals for plantar fasciitis if they weren’t so huge! Not sure what type of feet they were made for - maybe a giant. They remind me of a surgical shoe they put on you after foot surgery. They would be perfect if they weren’t so wide! Maybe Hoka will redesign them.
