Best arch support, sturdy construction
The best arch support of any sandal, and they really hold up to outdoor use while being cute enough for city wear. I have wide feet and high arches and it is always hard to find comfy women's shoes. But I love these sandals, wear them everywhere. Hiking in the Texas hill country or going to the mall, my feet are very happy. They do run large, so I buy a size smaller for summer in lightweight sox, and my regular size for winter with thick socks. Thank you, Teva!
Not for my feet
The straps are not lined and are rough and uncomfortable after wearing all day. They outsole are more platform-like and stiff than expected from a sport sandal, I think that would break down and become more flexible in time. However, the unlined straps are probably going to be a deal breaker. I dont want to return them but I think I should and will, I wasnt sure I'd like the multicolor but I do - they're cute, the colors add interest without being loud and they go with everything.
Too stiff and poor heel fit :(
I bought the new version of these after being lured by the promise of a cushioned insole combined with an aggressive sole for walking: while it is cushioned, the footbed is heavy and EXTREMELY stiff, unfortunately. I think I’m spoiled by the Teva Hydratrek, which is super comfortable and flexible from the first moment I put them on my feet (I have two pairs, and I’ll probably order another this year) Additionally, this sandal does not fit properly at the heel: it sits low and uncomfortable, and the various pressure points are bare, unlike the Hydratrek. (I do have a high arch, so that may affect how the various parts fit me) I wish Teva could take the Hydratrek and make a version with a more rugged bottom, but overall, it’s a great sandal as is, unlike this one.
Not an improvement
I went to the store intending to buy two pairs, but they're much worse than the XLT2. The footbed feels stiff, not cushioned. The heel strap is looser even when tightened. I could live with this. However, these are slick and not at all grippy! The clerk exclaimed when I demonstrated that climbing on the fake rock, they slid right out from under me. Sadly, these aren't safe.
Walk a mile in these shoes
Love the color scheme of the sandals. They are very comfortable and support my feet really well.
Disappointing
Disappointed by the sandal’s footbed being too firm, generic and not well molded to your foot. Straps are also very rough and irritating to your skin especially if wet.
Teva or no Teva
I loved the color and cushioning but these did not love me. Worst rubbing ever. I need a size 6 1/2 and sadly they do not come in half sizes. I have it a try though. Wore them around house for a few days. Slight rubbing, nothing too bad. Wore them out and about not too bad. Wore them on a 2 mile easy trail to a waterfall. Not good. No matter how I adjust straps on left foot it is uncomfortable and just too big but size 6 is too small for my right foot. Exchanged for a pair of bedrocks. Super happy with bedrocks. Adjusting to the way they fit. I had to drive to the Seattle store…boy were they unbelievably rude and unhelpful. Not friendly, acted annoyed and inconvenienced to have to help me or talk to me. I swear one guy literally saw me looking at the bedrocks we made eye contact and he looked away so quick and disappeared to the back! He came back out and started talking to another employee who wouldn’t give me the time of day. As they talked I approached them and they both stood there and looked at me like how dare I bother them. The one guy still wouldn’t look at me! So weird and awkward! I asked if I could get some help and the other person was like, “with what?!” I wanted to say shoes duh this is the shoe department!” What the heck! I was left to figure it out. Down stairs was even worse. The gal at customer service was so rude and made me feel uncomfortable about returning/exchanging me shoes. She didn’t talk to me at all just glared and asked if I’d worn the Tevas and grumbled, snatched my receipt and said what the difference in price was as if $38 was supposed to send me running out the door and never come back. Well, I won’t go back to that store so they succeeded. I’m not used to that behavior at all at the Tacoma store. They are always approachable and friendly. In fact they seek me out and actually ask if I need help. They are knowledgeable about most items and if they don’t know they find someone who does know. I’ve never been made to feel like an outsider or annoyance…or like how dare I want to return something or exchange it. Truly nice people. As a member who’s slowly getting more into trails and camping it’s nice to be treated like hey your trying good for you how can I help. Anyhow loved the Tevas but they didn’t fit me well at all. They seemed to run big and don’t come in half sizes.
Fantastic!
These sandals are the best ever! The sizes come with a narrow option which makes all the difference for me. I have had them on my feet everyday all day since the day I purchased them, My feet no longer hurt at the end of the day! These sandals have souls made for walking in water and trails...Pretty great on all my city life surfaces too! Super light weight!
Wanted to love them but they ripped by feet apart
When I first put these on I was very happy with the way they felt and they did not bother my toes, I was a little put off with how wide they are. After wearing them for 1 day I can barely walk because the straps by my toes rubbed so hard they made me bleed in 4 different areas!! I am so disappointed and in so much pain!!
Best water sandals
These are light and comfortable and the treads are very grippy. I like the padding on the heel strap. I'm usually an 8.5 but the 8 fit perfectly
