Comfy Sandals
These sandals are very comfortable. I’ve walked up to 10 miles in them and they felt squishy yet supportive the whole time. I also like the soft fabric on the inside of the straps as it eliminates rubbing. The only negative is that the sizing was off. If my heel was in the correct spot, I had ~inch extra length in front. Despite this they were still comfortable. If I were to order again I would get a smaller size.
Brava TEVA!
These shoes are great for mixed terrain; felt confident hiking down steep cliff, through creek and over rocks. My sole felt protected while top of foot felt free to move, fit is completely adjustable and they dried fast. Playful colors and great style, I'll wear these all everywhere.
Versatile Water sandals with great features
I received a pair of Teva Women's Hydratrek Sandals in exchange for an honest review of the product. These are nice looking outdoor type sandals with a foam pad on any spot of the straps that might rub your foot. In addition, the straps are fully adjustable, which is absolutely necessary for people with narrow feet. The sandals run slightly larger than other shoes I own. I usually wear a size 9, and these in size 9 are one size too big. The footbed of the sandal is cream color. I wear my sandals while camping, walking, using the garden hose, playing in water, etc. A darker color in the footbed would be better for me as the light color is going to show dirt right away. The bottoms of the sandals have an outstanding raised grid (see picture), which will keep you from slipping on wet surfaces. I tested the "slip" factor while washing my bike, and they are rock solid. I did not get the chance yet to test these in an wet creek. Walking in the sandals, the sole feels cushioned, which would allow one to walk miles without discomfort. I have a very high arch, and prefer a sandal with arch support built in. Although these do have some arch support, it is not enough for my very high arch. And one last very important point. I ride a bicycle with "pegged" pedals. My bike shoes are incredibly HOT, so I need a cooler shoe when it gets hot here in Texas. I tested these sandals on my bike pedals, and they are a winner for sticking to the bike pedals. I just got my self a new pair of bike shoes!
Comfortable water shoes
These are so comfortable! I have really wide feet and my toes can splay out in these with no issues. The straps also have protective guards that prevent blisters and feel really soft. The bottom grip helps immensely in the water too. These are my new kayaking shoes. I love them!
Comfy sandals
I wore these sandals on a sunny afternoon at the zoo. They were very comfortable for walking 3-5 miles. I liked there were 3 velcro options for fit on the toe, ankle, and back of the foot. These are similar to the Chaco's (not really waterproof) that I have had for a few years but the material of these sandals is more flexible. I plan on wearing these for walks and bike rides. I usually wear a 6.5 in regular shoes and a 7 or 7.5 in running shoes but ordered a 6 after reading reviews online these run big. The 6 fit pretty well.
Comfortable summer shoe
I've been using these for day to day and dog walks with my dogs. Good traction, comfortable, the straps are adjustable for a perfect fit. The velcro seems a bit chincy, but gets the job done. I really like the topography pattern on the shoe base.
Comfortable and durable, but a little heavy.
This is my first pair of Tevas and I was looking forward to getting to know the product. Out of the box, they are comfortable, have a grippy sole and are easily adjustable (velcro). I really like the ability to wear socks with them which makes them great camp shoes after a long day on the trail. I also like that you can cover uneven ground that might not be safe if you had flip flops or other sandals on. Stylish enough to take on a walk through town, paired with cute shorts or a nice sundress, they can easily transition from day to night and vice versa. Your foot can get a little slippery, especially if it's wet and the straps do give slightly. In addition to the little bit of slip, they're a little heavy for the main use I have them for: a camp shoe after a day of backpacking. Ounces count and these are a little too much for that.
Flexible, light and grippy travel sandal
Overall this sandal was very comfortable on foot and easy to wear for day treks and beach walks. These sandals withstood some light wet rock climbs and transitioned from sand to shopping area just fine with a quick rinse and fast drying time. Four solid stars as the foot holds did have some give and while that made me a bit nervous when it came to climbing, moving quickly and trusting that my feet wouldn’t shift around, I didn’t take it too technical with these sandals as I would another water sandal with a toe cap and a bit more of a supportive structure. Mud does wash off easily but I did end up slipping on a short hike, which concluded for me that these may not be my #1 choice for travel hiking shoes on my next trip but they are perfect for a resort island with some walking and hikes. I was also not an immediate fan of the color as I usually purchase more muted colors in the neutral palate but the bright grew on me and is very tropical. Quality of the material is good overall with velcro that is nicely cut and easy clean materials, no uncomfortable points. After 4-5 miles, my feet did get a little red on the left and right side where the connector padding points are but I do have wider feet, so this could be a consideration to do some comfort fit testing if you have narrower feet or wider feet. This is my first pair of the brand so I was surprised how wide the footbed was! All in all a nice choice for those casual warm-weather trails.
River Crossing Wonder Sandals
So comfortable! I hiked miles and miles on very wet and muddy trails in Kauai and was thankful for these sandals that keep me from slipping and sliding on wet rocks in our river crossings. Excellent purchase!!
Sandal needs revamping
I have worn Teva sandals for many, many years now and always found them to be extremely comfortable. However, the Hydratrek model not so much. The foot bed is comfortable except for the embossed "Teva" name on the heel bed - I found it to be rough and irritating to my skin. The strapping around the ankle area was okay, except for the "comfort" pads - the thick binding around the edge of the pad rubbed under my ankle and was very irritating and uncomfortable. My old Teva sandals has a gel pad embedded in the heel of the foot bed which provides a very comfortable strike pad. The ankle strap is a solid piece of leather on the side connected to a leather/velcro strap that goes across the top of the ankle giving good support with no rubbing or irritation. If it ain't broke why fit it. I do wish the company who now owns Teva would get this message and revamp this sandal to a higher quality. And please come up with some lively colors and keep the bottom of the sandal black, not that ugly light brown color.
