Really lightweight, very gippy sole, and comfortable. They’ve already seen quit a bit of action and still basically look new, my only advice to others is they have a bit of a wide fit.
We hope you enjoy many adventures in your Merrells!
In my opinion, This is the poorest quality shoe I have seen REI sell. The tongue is nothing more than lite weight open cell foam sandwiched between two ultra thin layers of material. There is no finished edge on the tongue. I would not consider this to be any sort of “hiker” as advertised. Buyer beware!
Amazing product & water proof. Break in period of about a day and a half , & after they are super comfortable. Put them on & use them a bit & the shoe will fit to your foot . I have wide feet & not a very big arch, I’m flat footed. Shoes with a big arch bother me, but I got used to this one after a few days. Would highly recommend, got them for my OBX camp out surf trip.
We appreciate your feedback Johnny!
Very comfortable shoes to wear anywhere. Great grip while walking or hiking. I have both colors on these shoes. I love them
Thank you for sharing your feedback Mike! We're happy you love them!
The shoes fit great, true to size, and are comfortable. But they look ragged after 3 weeks of wear.
Poor quality. Material at lace eyelet tore after minimal use.

Bought this in March. It did not hold up to even 6 months of light use. I definitely would not buy again. I tried returning but was told I was past the “expected life of the product”. I guess these have an expected life of less than 6 months?
I wanted to like these for many reasons, and I was replacing a broken down pair that had re-triggered my plantar fasciitis. I actually have two pair of these, one with my orthotic inserts and one without. While I thought the fit and cushioning were good, I’m a month in to these and my foot is worse not better. One of those weeks was at Yellowstone/ Grand Teton. I used the real Moab’s on the trails without much of an issue. But even on perfect footing of the boardwalks I started observing how much inward role I was getting with these, even with a new pair of orthotics. Anyway they are cool looking shoes but my PT recommended the trash can for them. I’m doing much better with my Trail Gloves as those, of course, and much closer to a zero drop and I don’t pronate if I forefoot-strike.
The toe base on the shoe is a bit wide for my foot but it doesn't seem to cause any problems. This shoe is probably great for a wide foot. The shoe is extremely light and comfortable. What stands out is the stability. I had this shoe in hawaii and put it to the test. In salt water, up and down hikes, and all over lava rock. Lava rock can be difficult to walk on and this shoe delivered. I would order this shoe again in a heartbeat. Would like to see a few more colors.
Thank you for your feedback, Aaron!
Vibram soles are reasonably sticky, but is wearing quickly on dry Western trails. Shoes are very comfortable but won't last
