Merrell  Moab Speed 2 Leather Waterproof Hiking Shoes - Men's

First off Merrell is my go to shoe/work shoe/boot. I do not stray from the brand that has pleased above and beyond with countless pairs of quality shoes and boots...... But about this particular shoe I found on clearance at a farm and tractor type store. I had previously never seen this particular shoe but purchased them knowing I wouldn't be let down. And after close to 2yrs of casual wear they are still holding up. My only issue is I wish the toe box area was easier to clean.... But its a shoe, they get dirty.... I repeat almost 2yrs with this pair of shoes that I switch out with my grey Alpines (also Merrell). I hate hearing people mad and disgruntle at my favorite shoe company. Not one issue on my end guys. Sending good vibes to the angry ones.... Honestly one of these days hopefully years from now, I'll be buried in a pair of Merrells.

I’ve owned these shoes for one year today and I wear these shoes almost every day hiking in the Rocky Mountains. They’re great for running on the trails with. Under certain conditions such as a lot of scree they two tend to kick out a bit. I started to notice around 210 miles on the shoes that on my right side heel the fabric is starting to wear out and have a hole.

I highly recommend these shoes, if you are looking for a pair of shoes with support throughout the whole shoe, these shoes will not disappoint. Takes about a week to break in, but once broken in you'll love these shoes, benefits of a sneaker, but with looks of leather. Actually provide warmth on colder days, and even get traction on snowy/icy surfaces, highly recommend as an all around great winter shoe.

Got these in low top. These are great! Coming off a pair of Moab 2 lows for hiking I feel these are a definite upgrade in looks and comfort. I think Merrell hit the nail on the head with the styling, I actually am tempted just to wear these as a daily without hiking in them, I don't want to get them dirty! They look fantastic with jeans. Also note that these leather ones are more comfortable than the Speed 2 Goretex version...I tried on that pair and the cut outs for the ankle were higher and rubbed my ankle. There is no rubbing on these, however they are slightly heavier than the Speed 2 goretex. I imagine because this uses leather.

These shoes are great as my daily workshoes on the dock or out landscaping. Great traction on multiple surfaces even if a little wet. Vibram tech on the sole keeps you going strong on the most rugged terrain. The leather material keeps your feet dry and adds durability to the shoe, but it does not provide breathability like other materials. I highly recommend these shoes for specific use, but if you plan to use them for extending hiking, I would choose a fabric material so you feet can breathe and not get overheated.

They seem well made. I generally trust Merrell shoes to fit and wear well. Unfortunately there is zero arch support in these shoes. Will return for a better fit.

Poor quality; they started breaking down within the first week.

Comfortable enough, but the sole is "high" and, along with the curved heel, makes for a "wobbly" feeling. I returned them.

Shoes are great. Wore them on our trip to Alaska. Fully waterproof and comfortable.
