Excellent running shoes
Great running shoes, wish they were a little wider. Love the unique looks that are equally good functionality and performance wise
Where have these being all my life?!?!!!!
I love my walks, runs, grocery shopping, dog walking, Spring, skipping, nature watching, impromptu dancing, stair climbing, home cooking and everything that makes me put on my Matis… my feet have never been cradled, cushioned, hugged as comfortably as when I’m wearing these. I work in a kitchen and the hours are long & the standing on concrete floors is bone crushing! My feet feel like they are on vacation once they get in these; my step is bouncy and sured, steady and determined. I am relishing the hours of adventure these Merrell’s contribute to my life.
Low quality collar, failed quickly with low wear.
I got this product 5 months ago and one shoe already has a manufacturing defect. Merrell won’t honor its 1 year defect free; Merrell informed product is not eligible for replacement. Disappointing shoe and service lost a life long customer
Trail Star
Best walking shoe I've ever had. I walk flat trail/uneven surface and these shoes are always stable and confident.
Comfortable, Supportive, Slip On Shoe
These are an awesome sneaker. I love a slip on shoe and these allow you to have a slip on style shoe but still feel nice and snug with their lacing system. The padding around the ankle and heel is SO soft and comfortable. It feels like a tempur-pedic pillow for your foot/ankle. These are great for a trail but also just for normal walks or going around town. My only recommendation for improvement would be that the end of the laces/string bounces around a bit while you are walking. I have just been tucking them back under the laces to fix this but would be nice if there was something on the shoe that could do this for me. Either way, awesome shoe!
For walking through a field or a sidewalk.
Youll fall right off these shoes on a true trail hike guaranteed. Its like the team that designed these shoes have never hiked, ran a true trail, on a rugged mountain, or a 10 mile run through terrain. Great quality shoes. Comfortable, fit well, not for a wide foot. the elastic tie is utterly cheap, I would not count on that lace on a 6 hour hike. The out/mid soles need to be much wider for impact, landing, stability. I would not recommend these Speedarc Matis Shoes for hiking, trail running, mountains, long distance. They are a cool lookin shoe, and have a great quality to them. Just wear them out for style not performance
Snug to get on, good sole traction and high sole
I like Merrell a lot, and these are ok. The fit is good and they are relatively comfortable. The traction looks like probably the best part. What I meant by "high sole" is that it makes you taller. The sole is fairly thick, but that also makes me feel like it could be less stable on tricky terrain. They fair hiking shoes though I use them as an all around medium duty shoe. I wish they were slip-on, but they are not at all -- another review indicated they were(?). For a hiking shoe I ended up getting and prefer the Hoka Anacapa 2 (also not slip-on ;-). Color and sizing were as-expected/good -- Size: 10.5, color: black.
New Favorite Hiking Shoe!
I’ve been a huge Hoka fan for over a year, but these shoes changed my allegiances entirely. I’ve never owned a pair of hiking shoes offering such stability while remaining lightweight and breathable. They are sturdy, comfortable, and stylish in a way that makes them both practical and fun to wear. Highly recommend these shoes for anyone looking to add comfort and color to anything from household chores to multi-day hiking trips!
Distinctive looks, unremarkable performance
I’ve been using this shoe for a couple weeks as a casual sneaker and for light hiking. It’s comfortable and holds up to varying terrain, but I haven’t found anything remarkable about it in comparison to my other trail runners. Solid performance, but you’d have to really like the style to make it worth it.
New experience
Perfect hiking shoe, looking forward to more colors that reflect the market. They are lightweight, excellent traction, very comfortable, easy lacing system, but too light of color for the outdoors.
