Innovative Design; Great Comfort and Versatility
I’ve been wearing the SpeedARC Surge BOAs for a few weeks now, and I can confidently say this shoe is ahead of its time. It is stylish and functional. The BOA lacing system lets me make precise adjustments and a snug fit that stays comfortable throughout my walks, jogs, and casual outings. I don’t have to bother about loosening laces or tying my shoes ever again. The shoes feel sturdy on uneven trails and smooth pavements, which speaks to their versatile design. The craftsmanship and minimalist futuristic aesthetic make these shoes a great addition to my collection.
Kills my toes.
These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever bought. I really tried to like them but something with the design causes abrasion on my little toes. My small toe is right wear the cable loops through on the shoe and provides a pressure point in that area. I love boa shoes and was excited about these but they start to hurt my feet within an hour of wearing them. I powered through a few weeks of wearing them but it was the worst experience. The cushioning is a lot more stiff than I was expecting. Nothing that really screams innovation to me. I have gotten compliments on them but they are the worst.
Good start, needs refinement
I love the styling and colorway of the shoe itself. The white and gold really looks great. The flexplate does a great job providing a bit of a bounce in your step that you can feel. The BOA lacing system is fast and easy to use. The soles are a bit too thick and bubbly for my taste. I found myself tripping more. Also, my feet feel like they are canted inward when I'm standing on flat ground.
Amazing comfort and support.
I took a chance on these after reading reviews. I have never written a review before on anything. I buy a lot of shoes promised comfort - I am donating them all. I have an old injury with a plate 6 screws and a pin in my left ankle . I slipped and fell this past winter with a chance of an additional surgery. I have a dog to walk and enjoy hiking . . I walk in constant pain - feet, ankle , knees and lower back. OMG ! Zero pain ! Zero! I tripled my time walking in these and could keep going. My feet, ankle, knees and psyche are so happy ! I am in complete gratitude to come across these shoes. If you have any of these issues - give them a try. If you have wide feet could be an issue .
The worst thing Merrell has ever made.
I'm not sure what purpose these serve in the lineup based on price and comfort. First of all there is no cushion in the tongue so when you cinch up the straps that's what you feel and you get left with lines across your foot. The rest of the shoe is just a thin scratchy canvas like material as well. The sole also has zero give. You are basically wearing stiff platform shoes. Not as hard as the Moab concrete slab soles, but no where near the comfort level of the Peak 5. No squish, bounce, or give when walking. Other than good looking they just suck. For the price, you are just getting ripped off. Hard review to leave with a closet full of Merrell shoes I love.
The perfect shoe for everyday!
I’ve been wearing the SpeedARC Surge BOAs for the last few weeks and they have completely exceeded my expectations. From wearing them on everyday errands, to trail runs on the weekend, this the perfect shoe for the everyday adventurer. The functionality of the BOA system gives them a great feel and the outsole has a soft, but supportive cushion
Comfortable, great for hikes, highly recommended!
These shoes were amazing to wear. Comfortable and the added height made it great for hiking trails, incline hikes, and even nighttime jogs. Great for running and the added height is a bonus!
Futuristic trail shoes with fantastic support
These shoes are incredibly unique and eye catching. You will be the talk of the hiking trail in these. Very secure on the feet with adjustable knobs. The white is tough to keep clean.
Game changing technology
These shoe/boots are absolutely amazing and worth every penny. Game changer!
The ultimate everyday hiking shoe
The perfect shoe to take on coffee runs or everyday trails.
