Look great but not for long distances
I really love the style and the colour however it said pockets(pleural) but it only has one and squeezing my iPhone in is tricky and then no place for your key or any gels. I wore them for 12 miles today and experienced some chafing but it was too hot to wear cycling shorts underneath so maybe my own fault, wouldn’t say great sweat wicking either. Probably fine for short runs or possibly spin but it’s the fact they are really short shorts that they do ride up, is this better than falling down! Possibly and I just love the colour.

Not as good as the time-trial shorts.
These shorts seem to be an updated version of the time trial shorts but there's a lesson to be learnt SB - don't try to fix something that isn't broken! The time trial shorts were perfect. They were lightweight and the material was so comfy. The fit was flowing so they were perfect for running and no chafing at all. The pocket at the back was perfect. The material in the track and field shorts are bulky, nowhere near as soft and rub when running. It's also not as breathable. The fit is completely unflattering and the pockets at the front are impractical. If I were to put my phone in there while running it'll be bouncing all over the place. But I don't want to go to the on your marks shorts because I don't want built in shorts - that would be much too hot. Bring back the time-trial shorts!
My new favourite shorts
I bought a pair of these shorts out of curiosity a month ago and then immediately ordered two more pairs, these are such a winning style! I am a hiker, runner and equestrian and I have not been able to live without these during the heatwave we are experiencing at the moment - the zip pockets are my favourite part of these shorts followed by the comfortable waist and the comfy fabric. I find these so breathable and they do not ride up on my thighs which is very rare for me with shorts. I did size up as I wanted a looser fit and they were still quite snug so I would recommend going up one size from your leggings size - I am a size M/L (UK 12/14) in leggings and ordered an XL in these shorts. If you are on the fence then take the leap and order them - you will not regret it! #teamsweatybetty
Ideal length and fit for comfy runs :)
I bought these recently as I was tired of Nike shorts with their short inseams, meaning they always rode up on a run, even the looser style shorts. These have the perfect inseam length meaning they sit properly on the waist/hips and don't feel tight in the brief area. They also have inner briefs and a pocket, perfect for carrying things on the go. Love the classic / retro style too. I order / send back a lot of running shorts & these ones are definitely a winner.
New go-to shorts for the summer
If summer ever arrives in England this year, these will be my go-to shorts! Got in black for versatility, and went for the longer length and it’s perfect, not too short not too long. Got my usual size which is a S. I like that they don’t have built in tight shorts underneath (but there is underwear), just personal preference I guess. Great pair of classic black shorts for everything from running outside to wearing to the beach or for a hike etc.! #teamsweatybetty
Ideal running shorts which don't ride up
Great running shorts with built in knickers. These are really nice shorts which do not flare out at the sides like other shorts. I am 5 ft 10 and size 12 and ordered a medium but in hindsight I probably would have sized up to a large as I felt they came up slightly small so if you prefer a looser fit on the waist, you may wish to size up. Having said this, they are still comfortable to wear a d with the added knicker, makes me feel more assured when running.
Nice running shorts!
I have really not liked recent sweaty betty running shorts, they either all have long short style inner knickers, or made of too heavy fabric. These are nice, probably more for colder weather as longer legs, and heavier (but perfectly runable fabric). Would like to see more styles, leg lengths and lightweight fabrics and inner knickers rather than shorts. And obviously more competitive prices..I cannot afford to pay full price, these were in sale.
Running shorts
I bought these for running and to replace my marathon run shorts which were very old. These new ones are so disappointing, wish I had returned them on opening but I gave them a go. Unfortunately they are just not good, too much material and the zip pocket doesn’t sit right. Have only worn once so such a shame and waste of money. First SB purchase I have not been happy with. Very disappointed
First sport shorts that I liked!
I was looking for sport shorts for a long time.all I tried were very short - I’m not a super body build. These cam in two lengths, I tried the longer ones - finally something I’d been looking for looong time. I like the zipped pockets, add some safety to cards or key. Comfy and great looking (even on not too sporty shape) Great products all round.
Great running shorts
Because I love my power leggings so much I decided to try these out, they are very comfortable for running, the liner doesn’t budge and the zip side pockets are plenty big however the elastic in the waistband constantly folds and puckers which is a pity, I don’t think they are too small so not sure why that’s going on.
