Pretty durable and comfortable for my daily footwear.... this is my 2nd pair. I'm still wearing the first pair but there is a spot on the sole that is coming unglued from the foam near the heel on one foot but it has been that way for a long time and doesn't seem to be getting any worse and it isn't impacting the comfort or anything... minor enough that I went ahead and bought this 2nd pair. Hoping the second pair doesn't also do this of course. The upper is holding up really well on the first pair and still looks new even after 12 months of almost constant daily wear.
I would say that I have a middle of the pack size foot, not too wide not too narrow, but these shoes felt a little tight. That’s not why I return them.. these shoes came brand new in the box moldy and that’s why I returned them. I gave these three stars purely based on my previous experience with Brooks, ease of communication, return and the refund hitting within 24hrs of the barcode being scanned. If you’re going to buy these shoes, my only real thought is they might be a little tight in the arch.
I have a pair of Adrenaline 20 shoes purchased about two years ago. The fit is perfect. I ordered size 10, medium width. I wanted a new shoe for use in my fitness center, where I walk the track and use strength-building machines. So I purchased this shoe in the same size. Unfortunately, the shoe is not of the same construction and feels too long and wide. I should have returned the shoe but didn't want to deal with the hassle since it serves the purpose. But I now know that there can be variations in size and shoe. There is plenty of bounce as I walk the track, so a runner with the proper size would appreciate that.
I am a big man with chronic knee pain. As well have a previous injury to my right ankle which my ankle wants to roll over on the right side. I purchased 3 pairs of brooks in the last year strictly for comfort. The glycerin model was the softest but allowed the outside right sole to collapse. The ghost as well but not as bad. The most recent, revel 5, so far are the model for me. Comfortable and as soon as I put them on I could tell the inside of my right foot was actually compressing inward and down like there was a inside cup so to speak. So far in 1 month they have remained equal and level and no real rolling under on the right side. REVEL 5 is the one so that works the best.
Not satisfied with the quality of the shoe. The heels of both shoes have already begun to tear out less than 100 miles in. I had the same issue with the Revel 4, but the tearing didn’t begin until I was well over 200 miles. These shoes have only been worn on roads with Brooks brand moisture wicking socks. Shoe feels great, I love running in them, but I’m not pleased with having to replace them after a month!
It is a quality shoe that offers lot’s of support and just the right amount of space for my feet. The shoe does not move around at all and stays nice and tight. Its also a good looking shoe design wise. More simplistic and youthful looking than a pair of dad runners. So far no complaints and I hope to use these for many more walks and runs to come.
We just got these not that long ago and they are already falling apart. I’ve had brooks for myself and not had an issue. Ordered these for my son because he has foot issues and they already are coming apart. Not happy..
The Revel 5 has been one of my all-time favorite running shoes. One that I wish you wouldn't change. It's disappointing to see it transition to a 10mm drop instead of the 8mm. The arsenal of Brooks shoes in the 10-12mm range is very strong, why push another shoe up there? The Revel is just such a solid all-around for easy days, tempo, and speed - it checks all the boxes. I'm not sure what consumer feedback prompted the change to 10mm, but it seems unnecessary as you've already got similar style shoes in that range. I'm bummed and picking up as many Revel 5s as I can before they disappear. Please consider developing a stronger shoe in the 8mm range or bringing the Revel 7 back down. It was better down there!
Great sneakers for running. I don’t feel I waste my money when I buy Brooks because they are comfortable and get the job done while I run.
Great shoe! Very comfortable. I workout in the gym and run after with absolutely no foot fatigue.
