Ideal upgrade for a 5 nights in the Canyon

Upgraded my pack recently in preparation for a 5 night South Rim hike down the Tanner and it was ideal...so much better than anything else I have owned. Adjustments on the fly allowed for minor tweaks on the trail and the capacity was perfect what I needed. Specifically bought the 60 to ensure I had space for what I needed but also regulated the wait that I wanted to carry. Paired it with the hydration pack, first time using one and it was a game changer. Integrated design of the Daypack is a really nice bonus allowing for plendy of gear and water for up and down river excursions.

overkill in the best ways.

Amazing build quality and feature set. The daylid is an amazing feature for a summit pack! Checks every box other than ultra light, perfect for bringing all the comfort items for a weekend trip and caries 50+ pounds with no problems. Wish the hydration sleeve was external instead of internal, love that on my girlfriends tempest but other than that 10/10 would buy again.

Top of the line price for ""velcro""?

The Osprey has been my go to pack. I look for breathability and quality of design and fit. Osprey has delivered at times and not other times. The Velcro is what bumps this pack down a couple stars. It gives way when you really don't need it to, and for all the adjustable features, I have yet to have a pack accommodate large shoulders. Fit is key and when going over a rock scramble or 30 miles out I need a pack I can depend on, not readjust every 15 minutes via Velcro. I'll be rocking my older osprey packs, and it seems the newer stuff has been getting worse not better. Hope they change my mind.

Perfect Pack!!

Used this pack to complete 120 miles and 38K vertical feet for the Annapurna Circuit high altitude trek through the Himalayas. It was my amazing constant companion. Living out of a backpack for multiple weeks will bring out the best and the worst and I can’t find a single complaint with the pack. I could nitpick a bit, sure, but I’ve never had a pack come even close to this one in thoughtful details, overall design, customized fit, and the big one - comfort! You’re never going to forget the weight is there, but this pack was so comfortable that during breaks I often just left it on. Wouldn’t consider going with another brand now. The lid doubling as a (actually robust) daypack was key! My friends were jealous of that feature. Amazing backpack and the Osprey system is just so top notch! Thanks, Osprey!!

Top lid access and side pocket strap length

We love your backpacks with two exceptions - I hope you made the opening to the top lid longer so it's more accessible - very difficult to get things out if the pack is fully packed due to limited access. And the adjustable straps on your side pockets are so short it's difficult to strap a tent on the side - only need a couple more inches of strap to make that more functional!

Amazing rucksack - best one I’ve ever had, so comfortable and fits my back perfectly. Got it in the sale so was great value but now seeing and using it I would be happy to even pay full price. I’m hoping it’s last me a long time. Highly recommend…happy hiking! :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I a big fan of how the pack fit and carries a load. And, the folks at Osprey have been very responsive and supportive.
