Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Watch- Minor Flaw I've had the watch now for just under a month. I really like all the bells and whistles. It is far better than the 920XT and I love the light weight. I often forget I am wearing it it is so light. My only complaint is that the face scratches easily. I have to scratches after only a month. They happened during every day use (dishes, laundry, cleaning, kids, etc)- not during training. I was disappointed that Garmin made such a great watch to endure training, but it can't handle everyday work and family light. They are minor ones, but still noticble in certain lights. I hope Garmin improves on that and the next one is better quality materials as to match the other great aspects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All Fenix 5 features included for less I was pretty set on picking up the Fenix 5 until Garmin announced the 935 for $100 less and all of the same specs/features to include WiFi. I personally prefer the plastic body of the 935 over the steel body of the Fenix 5 since it cuts half the weight. I never take my watch off other than to charge it every few days, so it's nice to have something a bit lighter. As for the battery I've been getting very close to what Garmin advertises with 24hr HR monitoring and GPS mixed usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fitness and Outdoor Watch Keep it up, Garmin, this is my second Garmin watch (and my family's fifth Garmin device - old GPS, three watches and 1 activity tracker). The 935 is almost perfect in my opinion. Only one feature would push it into dream device for me - on-device mp3 storage and playback (ok that's technically 2 since playback would require BT headset capability). I moved to the Forerunner 935 after owning the FR235 for the past year and a half. This watch is fantastic and offers a bit of everything for running, swimming, hiking, biking, golf, and more. Looking at the IQ 'app store', there are apps available that add tides, fishing info, star gazing and other features. Wrist HR accuracy can vary based on body types, hair, etc, so I suggest trying different watches out before purchasing any to see how it works different solutions work for you, BUT, in my experience with the FR235, my son's VivoActiveHR and the FR935, HR has been extremely accurate. My hairy arms don't seem to hinder it locking on quickly and tracking faithfully. During activities I wear it about an inch higher up my arm than I normally would to avoid the more bony wrist section. I haven't put the 935 through the paces directly against my old chest strap, but I had done that when I first got my FR235, and it had always tracked closely with the chest strap (only difference was a slight delay in recovery during intense intervals). The 935 readings are consistent with the 235 so I expect it will fair well vs the strap as well. If you want a great analysis on all that, I'd suggest reading DC Rainmaker's thorough reviews on this and many other watches. As for the GPS side of the watch, my GPS tracks for runs and walks around town and hikes on the AT have been accurate. The watch gets a GPS signal lock quickly (under 20 seconds in my experience), but does seem a little slower to lock than my 235 did. The screen is extremely readable in direct sunlight, and the resolution is nice and crisp. Screens are easily visible/readable during workouts. BT syncing with my Galaxy S8+ has been much quicker than the 235 had been (although that never seemed bad). I haven't messed with the WiFi Sync - but it is nice to know it is there. Overall, I love this watch and would recommend anybody who needs/wants a reliable GPS watch for sport and/or outdoor recreation to consider it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Training watch out there I had the Forerunner 735XT for a year and loved it. This one is hands down better. Altimeter, battery, temp, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery life even better than expected Battery lasts 1 week with 7 hours of running and 24/7 wearing. I had the 235 but upgraded for battery life and have been so happy. GPS running watch does everything I hoped it would do. Sleep tracker and resting HR makes it possible to know if I am over training or just tired because I haven't slept enough. Recovery advisor always estimates too long but VO2 estimate is very close. I decided to get the 935 over the Fenix5 because it is lighter weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome watch Had the watch for 2 weeks now. Very happy with it. Finds gps signal quickly. Comfortable to wear. Things I like the best: battery life - It came fully charged and after the first 9 days it was still above 20%, but I charged it then anyway, which took maybe an hour to get to 100%. Now 3 days later its still above 83%. That's wearing it 24 hours, and going for a bike or run every day. I pair it with the small green run pod on my shorts - I like the data that it gives, but I'll have to collect that over the long haul to see how much I use the data. The menus both on the watch and on the garmin connect app take some time to learn - there's so much that it does. If you like data, there's lots of it here. Many things can be set on the watch or on the app. I found out however that the alarm, if you change it on the watch, the app overwrite's your change and it doesn't save. Almost got a little extra sleep that day, but I double checked it right before going to bed... I've not had a Garmin product for running for many years, so I'm happy with the progress since I last tried something from them. The watch displays phone notifications, but I wish that I could respond to a text from the watch. Still have to pull the phone out to reply even a quick "k". Otherwise very happy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful still Got the garmin Vivoactive HR and it was off on HR and buggy on apps. I hoped with this price tagged things improved. NOPE! HR is awful. So many bugs still. Don't mess with it.
