How do most people rehydrate the bulk food out on the trail? It seams that a ziplock bag would not be up to the task of boiling water. I'd prefer not to dirty up a pot for my meal.

Hi Jeffo,  I've been rehydrating freeze dried meals out in the backcountry for years and never had a problem rehydrating in ziplock FREEZER bags.  They are up to the task.
