Green Water Bottles

Metal or plastic?

Metal (stainless steel or titanium)

• Best for insulation and hot beverages
• Heavier than plastic and costs more
• Won't shatter on impact but may dent when dropped

Plastic

• Lighter and generally costs less than metal
• Most aren’t insulated
• Some can crack on impact, especially in cold temperatures

Cap style

• Screw cap: Simple, threaded lid that's durable and easy to clean thanks to fewer parts
• Lid with straw: Helps reduce splash back; may be harder to clean due to smaller parts
• Push/pull caps: Common on bike water bottles; allow hands-free opening and closing
