Bought for weight and space savings on multi-pitch climbs. Forgot my pack once, clipped it to my harness, and it survived scraping through five pitches including an off-width. Now I carry it on my harness. If some are wondering, handle is attached to the bottle (not the cap) making it easy to refill or add electrolytes at anchors.
Great company to deal with which is why I'm not giving a one-star rating. I hike regularly and had two separate bottles develop a leak in the same place. Hydrapak replaced one of these and after the same failure with the replacement I've decided against using the product again. I'd be willing to buy a similar product if it were more durable, the risk of losing your water supply is just too much of a risk, I advise against using this product.
This water bottle checks both boxes as a rigid and collapsible water bottle. It’s got enough structure to hold shape when not full, but easily collapses down to a very small and manageable size. No noticeable taste or smell after initial rinse. Also, because it is a soft water bottle and the material has some texture, it’s very easy to hold onto and stays put in side, pockets of backpacks, etc. very well.
This is a great balance between the flimsy CNOC style bladders that are wobbly and hard to drink out of and a fully rigid container like a traditional Nalgene. It feels good in the hand and can be thrown into a bag or onto the seat of the car. It's easy to drink out of and stands on its own. I also like that you can squeeze it in a cup holder in the car even though it's bigger than the holder.
Great lightweight collapsable bottle for hiking and overseas travel. I use two of them for filtered water storage in combination with my hanging 10 liter filter system on deep woods adventures in llace of my standard nalgene. I also use these while traveling out of the country. These save me weight, compress well, and have the correct amount of volume to ensure hydration on strong pushes.
I use the bottle every day, both at work and on trips. It is very convenient to hold in the hand, when folded it takes up very little space. I wanted to complete the flask with a plug-n-play cap and a hydra flex tube, but unfortunately there is no place to buy them in Ukraine:((. The photo was taken in Ukraine, with Lake Nesamovyte in the background
Fantastic product with one major flaw - the plastic used by HydraPak makes the water taste terrible. I've never experienced this from any other bottle or reservoir to this degree. I hope it fades out over time. I've tried soaking it with lemon juice and baking soda and it still has the foul taste. Otherwise, I think this bottle is incredible.
I have several hydrapack products and this one is my favorite l. I’ve used this bottle on 3 separate 5 day hunts on the side of my pack and i can’t say enough good things about it. It’s extremely rugged and durable and very very light. I will Be buying more without question
Good bottle. Durable. Doesn't leak. What I don't like is the air is sucked back into the bottle after you drink so it doesn't get smaller as you drink from it. It remains the original size taking up too much space in your pocket. I prefer the Stow bottles for this reason.
Light and cute. I use it for dragon boating which means it is in the floor and sometimes surrounded by water from the lake. I bought because the mouth piece is protected to I know I won’t fall sick but it is easy to open so I can still drink fast during my 20 scs break.
