Hydro Flask  Lightweight Wide-Mouth Vacuum Water Bottle with Flex Chug Cap - 32 fl. oz.

I like everything about this bottle except for the rust.  The “stainless steel“ rim started rusting within a few days and it continues to rust after cleaning it. I checked the Hydro flask website and their FAQs included a rust issue. Since the stainless steel bottle that I used for six years never rusted I am doubting the quality of the stainless steel that Hydro flask uses.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: The bottle keeps ice water cold all day. The provided bottle top is the style I typically pay extra for. Cons: The bottle has a smooth texture instead of the easier to hold rougher texture that most of the other Hydro Flasks have. Bottle is is not tapered enough on the bottom to fit into any of the cup holders in my vehicles.

I wanted a larger bottle to encourage me to drink more water. This one seemed perfect and I loved the color However it is too large to fit in any of my cup holders!! (Toyota Corolla) So I will have to return it for the 24 oz.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the 32oz lightweight to replace an original model that I had for 5 years, but had lost recently. Was excited to see the lightweight version, but after using now for about 2 weeks am disappointed to report that the unit does not hold ice for more than 5-6 hrs, even inside an office building. Water after 8-10 hrs is lukewarm. I normally will fill the bottle with half solid ice then top with water, commonly with electrolytes, early in the morning. I will normally top off with chilled water 2x before noon. This ice is usually gone well before noon when I am topping it off again with ice. By dinner, the ice is gone and water is commonly becoming ambient at best (which I do not prefer. If I had my packaging (ordered online direct) - I would return it. But do not, so I will need to continue use. It may become the backup and I wil lorder an original model again. In any case, a little disappointed.

I went on a mountaineering trip in Alaska a couple of years ago and my tent mate had one of these and showed it to me. I was blown away by the difference in weight between this and the comparatively heavy Hydroflask behemoth I'd brought. I'm not sure how they made this one so much lighter but who cares? If you need to conserve weight, this is your fluid bottle!

I’ve had a hydro flask for 10+ years. The 32oz is my sweet spot. Over the years I’ve lost my trusty companions and just purchased this new light weight model. Discovering the chug cap was a game changer, but now this light weight model plus chug cap is next level! I was worried since the reviews are so mixed. So far so good! The weight difference is noticeable. Grabbing my bottle in the middle of the night is no longer a workout :) I hike daily and carry the bottle by the strap on the lid—this new version works just as well as the OG. I do miss the slightly rubberized cap but thats just personal preference. The cap works great, I’ve not experienced any leaks or the top coming loose. If you’ve had a chug cap before it works just the same. Also—the cypress green color is GORGEOUS!!! It’s darker than the photos in a good way. The bottle doesn’t smudge either. I may actually not sticker this one b/c it’s so stunning! Thanks for making the best water bottle Hydro Flask!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is the second time i am writing this review, hydroflask deleted my original one. but it must be said, the color is not at all emerald green, it is completely TEAL. i am so disappointed, i loved the way it looked online but what showed up was completely different. they should really update the color.

If they wanted to make it better, they should consider adding an option for a stainless steel chug cap, like the same material as their traditional stainless steel cap, that way you could avoid the plastic touching your water.

I bought an Ocean bottle because it was made with recycled materials. After a year it leaked so bad that I threw it away and bought a Hydro Flask. Wish Hydro Flask is a bit lighter with water in it. Otherwise it’s so far so good.
