Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waterproof! These shoes are absolutely amazing! They're perfect for hiking, they have great traction, you don't have to worry about that huge puddle in the middle of the trail ruining the rest of your hike because they're totally waterproof! I've tested them in streams, puddles, raining bike rides, everything! The main thing to remember, is its main job is to keep water out. If water does get in there, there is no drainage not recommended for OCRs. Love them all the same though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from sizing?? I currently own the MT in a 9.5 and LOVE them. My feet have plenty of room and no worries about slamming toes on the downhills. I ordered these in a 9.5 and my big toe was hitting the front so exchanged for a 10 (not surprised because often a waterproof version of a shoe will be less roomy). I was so excited to get them today but they are still a bit TOO SMALL! UGH! I'm so bummed. They are super comfy all around...but TOO SHORT so I have to return them. There is no 10.5 which is ridiculous. Other reviews state they are true to size...not for me. I'm giving them one star to bring attention to the sizing issue. If you can find the correct size in this shoe I would totally recommend TOPO. They make excellent shoes. And I'm sad that I don't get to wear this style. :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bring on the SLUSH! FULL DISCLOSURE: I've been running in Topos for 2.5 years and own every model ever released of their expanding and evolving product line. My love and trust for Topo shoes has only grown over the years and I am now a proud ambassador. The Hydroventures are one of my favorite models to share with fellow runners and outdoorsman. They have secure fit and a roomy toe box. Durable. COLD and WET feet running in the winter = No Bueno.. I'm chilled just thinking about it. I have Raynaud's disease which causes some areas of my body — such as my fingers and toes — to feel numb and cold in response to cold temperatures. It can cause my hands and feet to become ghostly white and is extremely painful until warmed up. This is very troubling to me, a winter runner, who would rather be outdoors than on a treadmill. However, now instead of dreading the colder, wet, slushy outdoors I'm ready to face it head-on. The Hydroventures are my go-to shoe on the roads and trails anytime the ground is wet. However, I do not recommend them if you are wading through water or participating in OCRs. (MT2s would be the better pick). Water getting in over the tops of the shoes will not have a way to drain out easily. Also, because of the water proofing they will take longer to dry than other models if fully submerged in water. The good news- completely soaking the shoes does not damage them. They will dry out and be good as new. I know from experience. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ACTUALLY waterproof These are amazing for wet trails and SNOWY trails! I hit the Olympics a lot this last winter/spring with warm and dry feet thanks to the Hydroventures. They fit similarly to the MT-2s and are true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome trail shoe with waterproof feature! I use this shoe a lot for trail running and love that when I come across a puddle or light rain I know that my socks and feet will stay dry. I even wore this shoe for my first 50 mile race because there was a chance of rain. It ended up never raining but the shoe performed magically - no blisters, toe nail issues or any general feet issues. I highly recommend this shoe! Even a few of my friends have bought them and love them as well. Full disclosure, I'm a Topo Ambassador and rave about these shoes to everyone I meet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Order 1/2 size larger if you're borderline I took the advice of others and ordered a 1/2 size larger than usual (and 1/2 size above another Topo pair I own that I consider my attractive summer activity shoe) because I wanted to be able to wear a wool hiking sock in these. It was the right choice. They don't feel too big, and I have sock options. I haven't worn these out yet and am a hiker not a runner, but I bought these mostly for vacations to rainy climates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Topo Hydroventure! My second Topo shoe, also have Terraventure. I have a shelf full of shoes I can't wear because they hurt my toes, but the wide toe box on Topo shoes solved that! Have used them for hiking, and backpacking up to 25 lb, will try heavier soon.( Also wear my Terraventure for many other things, including my active job as a therapist.) Hydroventure is light and waterproof! Color available could be improved in future, but love them anyway!

I tried these shoes on (Terraventure) in another store and like the fit. I am interested in the Hydroventure but don't like this color option at all. Will you be getting other colors to choose from? Like one with gray, black, green or blue tones?

While many folks love the Burgundy/Peach, REI has a great new Blue/Black women's Hydroventure arriving in July!  People in the Topo office love the new color.
