Topo Athletic  Vista Trail-Running Shoes - Women's

I bought these summer 2025 (for hiking not running) after trying a *lot* of trail run-hike shoes, including other Topo models. These were by far the best for my foot which has not only a narrow heel and wide forefoot, but also needs enuf length for my big toe. The other ‘wide toe box’ shoes all seem about 1/4” too short but going up a half-size means I trip on the trail because they’re too long. This model of Topos is just enuf longer I could wear my normal size. I wore them every day hiking Tour du Mt Blanc and they were comfortable, supportive and didn’t slip on the trail. I already bought a second pair because I’m always afraid companies will discontinue the item that fits me!

I took a huge chance on these shoes. I originally had the Altra Olympus 6, but when they rubbed my heel raw, I had to give them up… a week before a trip to Alaska. Frantically, ordered lots of Altras and Topos and decided to break the cardinal rule of never wearing new shoes on a trip with these. Boy, am I lucky because these shoes are IT. The Vibram sole makes it have the non-slip of a sturdy hiking book. The cushy zip foam kept my feet feeling good, free of aches even after multiple 5-9 mile hikes in a week. I can’t speak to the durability since I’ve had these for only a few weeks but I’m thrilled with them. Highly, highly recommend especially those coming from the Olympus unsatisfied. The only small thing is the lack of color choices with this shoe. But that’s it. Amazing shoe.

Topo has finally created the shoe I have been wanting for years- max cushion with an aggressive tread for technical trails! Love, love, love. I have 150 trail miles on my Vistas and they have been incredible.

Excellent shoe for trails in summer. Light , perfect level of cushion without instability, hugs the heel without compressing the foot . Highly recommend - Perfect for bunion and PF . I was able to hike again ! Highly recommend Need a water proof version for rainy months

These are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. I use them for daily walking and hiking. I love the wide toe box and got a half size larger (10.5 vs 10), but a 10 might have worked as well. Great traction and big toe protection so it doesn’t wear through. I sometimes get plantar fasciitis, and not at all with these. I also bought Sole insoles to pair with them, but I haven’t used them because these are so comfortable as is. I’ll get another pair when these wear out!

These are my favorite trail runners ever. I have wide feet and can have a difficult time finding shoes that don't pinch. The toe box is roomy, and the arch is superb (I also have high arches). I choose these shoes repeatedly when I want stability and just plan comfort.

I'm hoping these get more comfortable with wear. So far they are only halfway there.
