great when it works

This didn't work right out of the box. I took it apart and found where the trigger pinches the rubber tube closed the tube was sticking to itself and remaining closed even with the trigger pressed. to fix it I just take the trigger off and squeeze the tube so it opens then put it all back together (not hard to do). That being said when this works it is awesome, I take it to the beach and use it to cool down, wash my hands, or annoy my wife. when I take it out for the first time that day I still have to fix it because the rubber is sticking, but I only have to do it once and it works all day.

Backpacking: Shower. Faucet. Bidet.

Tested out at home on my wide-mouth nalgene bottle (had more fun playing with it as a 'water gun') and plan to bring it on future backpacking trips which will make a great shower or a faucet to rinse cookware. This would also make a great bidet for those wanting to stay clean in the backcountry (sometimes wipes just don't do it. A good 'ol, powerful, water rinse is what this device can do!). Great product!!!

nice when it works

I bought this for a spring trip to AZ. It was 60 and rainy, so didn't use it in the field. It was defective when I tried to use it. After reading other reviews, I googled the user manual (hard to find), disassembled it, found out that it is shipped in pulse mode, and got it to work. It DOES NOT work with the flexible camelback container. It is not lightweight, and I don't know how to pack it so it won't break other than in a bottle, so I can't see using this backpacking except for a basecamp backpack. The 25 foot is a little optimistic. It would be good for bathing, dishwashing, rinsing feet at the beach, and I can see using this traveling or concerts in the heat. I noticed that this is now sold with a brief, incomplete user directions, if you do buy it, get the full directions from their website so you know how to fix it, and store it. They won't be in business for long if they continue to ship defective units

Works for a couple of seconds, then pump pump pump

I was afraid this was a gimmick and it sure is. I thought this would be great for my wife who tends to get overheated on hikes. It doesn't work well at all. It leaks air when you pump it up, and when it is fully charged it works for about 3-5 seconds and then you have to charge it again.

Never backpacking without it

This thing rocks. I used it on my last camping and backpacking trip as a shower, dishwasher, bidet, sink, you name it. It was nice to spray myself in the heat during my hike, too. I think it functions pretty well and doesn’t require excess pumping. It’s an essential for sure!

So Many Uses

I've already used this for cooling hot spots on the grill, washing my kids hands, drinking, watering plants and cleaning off sand at the beach. Not quite hot enough for the mist yet, but it works good. And yes, it's fun for water fights.
