Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable & kept me dry Bought a while ago, but first time I wore. Rode 12 miles in drizzle and 60 degrees and very comfortable - breathed well. Walked and stood around for several hours in the pants in heavy rain, then sun then heavy rain - kept me dry but still comfy. Rode 12 miles back in drenching downpour, wind & hail and I was dry when I finished. Articulated knees feel good and the loose fit is comfortable with 2 layers (bike shorts and long pants) underneath.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these I purchased these for winter riding on my new fat bike. Love the wind resistant material on the legs. They are comfortable and the leg zip allows you to put them over small boots for warmer riding. The ONLY drawback is that they have no pockets. I like pockets on my pants, so that just may be a personal preference. Otherwise, two thumbs up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these! Bought these for cold morning rides due to the little extra features. I have a tiny waist so the drawstring waist feature was the clincher (no pun intended). Got a S to fit the rest of me and was delighted by the fit. Roomy enough to be comfy with stretch leggings underneath. I bought a second pair in a M so I could wear thick stretch pants underneath. Best cold weather pants ever and a bargain price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Rainpants Yet There's definitely a tradeoff between waterproof and breathable, and these are a great compromise. I never used my old rain pants because although rain never got thru, there was always lots of moisture from sweating. With these, I get a little damp (from rain) on a really wet day, but they are so cool you can wear them even in light rain or (gasp) rain in the forecast and stay nice and dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These pants saved my life! OK, so I don't mean that literally -- but I begrudgingly made it through a mild winter of bike commuting and recreational riding last year with cold, uncomfortable legs. I knew there had to be a better way. And there is! These pants are perfect. I never, ever write reviews so this is a big deal for me -- if you are a woman who loves to bike but is nervous about staying warm during cold weather, BUY THESE PANTS. I've worn them on century rides, short jaunts around town, Sunday afternoon rainstorms, in temps ranging from 15F to 50F, you name it -- and they've performed above expectations in every circumstance. What I love about them: - Elastic waistband means that I am not punished for having the occasional beer belly on a morning ride after a night out - Tapered, zipped leg cuffs keep water, slush, sand, and grit out, yet aren't restrictive or too tight - Soft panels at the backs of the knees make for a comfortable leg-bend while riding - Large zippered back pocket means that I can stash more than just a house key or a Chapstick tube - Reflective stripes down the backs of the calves: I get comments from other riders, and even people in cars, ALL THE TIME about how great these are. I'm all for increased visibility, and these help a lot. - While these pants do not have padding, I can put padded shorts on underneath them, and not feel or look too bulky. I can also put a pair of lightweight tights on underneath those, and still not feel or look too bulky. - Most importantly: these pants might seem lightweight, but do not be fooled: they absolutely will stop any wind that comes your way. I've been out in 20+ MPH headwinds that have made me question my will to live, and these pants kept my legs nice and toasty warm, without overheating me. I cannot recommend these pants highly enough! What I do not love about them: they didn't come buy one, get one free. ;-) Seriously, this is a wonderful product and I cannot imagine cold-weather biking without it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for a month.. I bought these about two months ago for bike commuting to work. At first, they were very water resistant. I only got a little damp in the knees even during a heavy rain. Unfortunately I was riding to work last week in another storm and I think the water repellent is toast already. They soaked completely through. I don't expect them to be waterproof but they are now absorbing water like sweat pants. I've washed them once without detergent - what did I do wrong?!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the relaxed fit and slim leg I bought these for cool weather mountain biking. The relaxed fit at the waist is really comfortable and the slim leg design makes it a great choice for cycling. Extra reflective stripes on the backs of the lower legs for low light or night time cycling is a benefit. Super soft interior finish for this stretchy but firm wind-stopper fabric. Great job and fit! I'm curvy and only 5'4" so I was happy to find a pull-on pant that fits.

I'm 5'10 and 135lbs. Would you suggest buying a small or medium? I have showerpass rainpants in a women's medium and they are TOO big. I typically wear a small in REI brand pants (am a size 4-8, depending on brand).

I am 5'7 and 130 lbs and I purchased the medium, I could maybe squeeze into a small, but I don't think that would work well for bike riding.   I am more than satisfied with the mediums as they will allow clothing underneath, but are not big and baggy looking.  They are quite comfy.

Will these provide more warmth than the average long nylon cycling tights?

Asked by: tlock
These pants will be warmer than average cycling tights since they block wind.
