Love them. Sturdy material that is lightweight. Perfect waistline & waist height that is very flattering (I think the partial elastic waist helps). I wear them all the time and they have held up well. Thoughtful pocket options on the side of the thigh. I wish REI carried more color options, I have last year's navy when I was heavier and this year's black in a smaller size after I lost weight. It fit well when I was overweight and now that I am down a size they still look good. I use them for cycling, work and gardening. They can be dressed up slightly even though they are casual.
These pants work well for biking, but I was hoping to use them for hiking and everyday wear too. The fabric is a bit noisy when walking, and the leg opening is quite tight—great for cycling, but less comfortable for hiking. Compared to the Midsummer Pants, the material isn’t as soft or comfortable. Those are still my favorite.
