Bought this tent a couple months ago and we are about to try it outside for the first time. In setting up the tent I immediately noticed that our 7ft and 6ft sleeping bags filled the space quite quickly. I wondered then if the tent was actually 93x73. Out came the tape measure and with several measurements I found that it was actually 90.75x66. Might not seem like a lot of space difference to care about, but I prefer a tent to be on the cautious side vs. embellishing the actual dimensions. I think it will suffice for what we need, but it makes me hesitant to buy one next time without setting it up in store.

Perfect for 3 friends!

I bought this tent for a trip to the Smokies with a couple of friends. After some trouble with shipping, along with REI's great customer service, I got my tent in time to make my trip. Once we arrived at our campsite, we set the tent up and made it our home for the night. There was a perfect amount of room for the three of us with head room for flashlights , water bottles and other bits of gear. The tent stayed between 8 and 12 degrees warmer than outside with very little condensation. We enjoyed our trip and got out just ahead of the fire!

Spacious & waterproof!

The mtnGLO 3 was plenty spacious for my husband and I and our gears. It’s color lets in plenty of sunshine and moonlight! We camped by the beach on two occasions and woke up to a wet exterior but the inside stayed dry!

Cool tent, but we got wet!

We had used this tent a few times and loved it. The interior led-s are awesome, especially since we dont have to pack a backpacking lantern. The most recent time we used this tent was last week (8/8-8/13) in Glacier National Park. It rained (not sprinkled and not downpour) for two days in a row, and after the first night, we were damp! Water was dripping through in multiple places. We're pretty bummed and will be returning. Like a different reviewer mentioned, the awning zipper are pretty awkward and get stuck on the zipper flap almost every time!

Nice tent for 2 people (not 3), but rain fly...

Size is nice for 2 people (maybe for 3 skinny kids...), but weight is not for multi day backpacking... (IMHO), car camping is all right though. LEDs inside are very nice addition. The heaviest part is a rain fly, plus it's design - a vestibule is not tight next to the ground with using only tent stakes - flopping in the wind and reducing vestibule cover area, tying the rain fly to something higher may be helps... It's not a pleasant surprise at the field from such a solid (and expensive) manufacturer like Big Agnes. Returned and went back to REI brand, which works better for me.

Nice Tent, but...

Overall i'm pretty happy with it. I stayed nice and dry despite nonstop rain last night. But, closing the rain fly zipper from the inside is a real problem. It's impossible to zip it up quickly without it getting caught in the flap. Super awkward to zip it up and hold the flap out of the way from the inside. And the more you close the zipper the further you have to reach to get it closed.

Not sand and wind freindly

Having only mesh on the top half of the tent allowed wind driven sand to accumulate in the tent. We had the fly on yet enough wind came under the fly to leave a thick coating of sand inside the tent. There is also something about the noise the fly makes in the wind that caused me to use ear plugs in order to sleep. Easy to set up by yourself. Extra room if you only have two people for extra stuff in the tent. The door is hard to use, the zippers do not pull smoothly. The connection for the battery has broken and we can no longer use the light.

Great tent, with a bright spot

First as a disclaimer, this is the first tent I've ever purchased and I have only gone out with it once now. I just thought I'd give some sort of review since currently there are zero. My husband and I took our tumble 3 out this past weekend and purchased a footprint to go along with it. We had done zero research to see how to set it up but were still able to get everything set and done within about 20 minutes. The light strip was much shorter than expected. At most it was 24 inches across. That said, it was so soft that you didn't know it was there and it was more than bright enough for us to be able to do everything we wanted to do. Maybe a little dim for reading but if your eyes are good you could manage. We had rain for our trip and we can say with certainty that rain is not a problem with this baby. I even touched the sides without any issue. The fly covers the entrance and has that half zip thing going on so you can get in and out while hiding your shoes and a cooler (which is what we did and we had dry shoes). The tent's about 5 pounds and easy to take around. I wish the bag had a little more space so we could get the footprint in easier than what we did. The tent didn't have pockets to keep your stuff like many tents do and the light colors get dirty pretty quick. My husband and I are both very tall (6'3" and 5'9") and had ample space once we did go to bed.. Overall I cannot complain about anything with this tent. We got the discount for the Memorial Day sale so we bought it but for new campers I think the price tag might scare you off. The light was definitely why we bought it and we were happy with the little switch that makes it go bright or dim (make sure you bring AAA batteries).

Terrific Tent with lighting.

Purchased this tent for short backpacking trips. Chose it at the time mainly because of the excellent deal being offered. Have used it on several short trips 3-4 miles. The weather was dry so don't know how it will work in wet conditions. Wish it was a little lighter but works for the purpose for which it was purchased. Love the lightening and so far the lightening continues to function well. Roomy for 2 adults, but would be tight with a 3rd person.

Very Happy With Purchase

I bought this tent at the Memorial Day sale and have no regrets. The weight/bulk of the tent is suitable for backpacking. It's super easy to set up and fits back into the stuff sack with minimal effort. The interior pockets are great, the zippers have a durable feel, and the lights are nice touch!
