Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing quality I bought these during a search for a versatile sandal that I could wear to my casual office and around town on weekends. I love the feel and style of these, so I thought they'd be a great choice. Unfortunately, they have not held up with daily wear. The elastic attaching the straps to the shoe started fraying after a few weeks. After a few months, the fraying is so bad that only a few threads are holding the elastic and straps together. I stopped wearing these for fear of the straps randomly breaking off, and started shopping for a new pair of sandals. Very disappointed in the durability of these sandals. They might be fine for occasional wear, but definitely not everyday wear.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SO disappointed! I am obsessed with Chaco sandals. I had my first pair for 10 years before finally throwing them to the back of the closet. I've owned about 4 pairs of Chacos since I discovered them in 2000. When I saw these, I thought Finally! I cute dressy pair of the sandals that I love! Within a week, the elastic on the buckle had worn out to the point that they were useless. Unfortunately, this was last summer so it's too late to think about returning them (I really did have intentions of trying to fix them anyway), but I should have. These unfortunately weren't worth even a cent of the $90 I paid.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the Same I love Chacos, and so was very excited to find a "dressy" pair to wear through Europe. Unfortunately, these were not the same as regular Chacos. I found that the leather was not resilient, the arch support was not pronounced enough, and they began to look faded quickly. As I have joint issues I need shoes that are very comfortable and these didn't make the cut. I gave them a chance and ultimately ended up returning them (major props to REI return policy and the Customer Service department!) and exchanging for a different pair of Chacos. They might work for some people, but I was disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice move chaco I just ordered these shoes for an upcoming business trip to Italy. I live in chacos all summer but I needed something a bit dressier for the trip. These sandals look great and they feel like I have my chacos on! I usually wear a size 9 and the footbed fits well. However, I have wide feet and the fixed strap in the middle is pretty tight. I think it will stretch enough to be wearable so I'm going to go for it but if you have wide feet be aware these don't adjust like regular chacos. Other than that, I would highly recommend these! They look and feel awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute and comfy! I love my Z2s that are nearing a decade old and decided to try these out for a slightly nicer look. I was a bit skeptical about the toe loop and at first thought it would be cutting into the gap between my toes. I needn't have worried! These sandals get more comfortable every time I wear them and I've gotten lot of compliments on their appearance. The footbed is not the same as (and slightly less supportive than) their sportier sandals, and the only strap that's adjustable is the one that connects around the back of the heel--just a heads-up. Not a replacement for my old Z2s, but a great addition to my wardrobe! Still waiting to see if they stink from foot-sweat in the summer. I've only had them a few weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These shoes were made for walking I bought these sandals just days before my departure to Europe. Walking 7 to 9 miles per day, on a variety of surfaces, these shoes not only held up but were extremely comfortable and gave me the support that I needed- even new, straight out of the box! Yes, my feet were tired by the end of the day but I expected that. These sandals are not cushiony but the arch support kept my feet feeling happy all day. BIG BONUS: they go with everything: jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses--even wore them to the beach. Will buy another pair, just in case they stop making them! Love their support, comfort and versatility!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, Supportive, Flattering, Versatile I have a lot of issues finding shoes, and these put all my anxieties to rest. I have considerable orthopedic issues, including arthritis, bursitis, joint replacements, etc. All of these things make finding shoes a major undertaking. So.....These sandals have a very soft cushiony foot bed, which is like walking on clouds. I was concerned they were not supportive enough for me, since I need legit arch support, but I feel stable, and have no tell-tale ankle pain from over-pronation. I needed these to upgrade from my now sad and ratty looking (a little clunky, too!) Birks. These shoes have a buttery soft leather to walk on, which is a nice change from gritty split nubuck! I was concerned about the thin-ish rubber sole, but it absorbs shock amazingly, and I though I wear these all day never have sore feet, sore ankles, knees, etc from poor support or shock absorption. When I went to try them on at the store I realized they had a terracotta colored lining leather, and orange stitching. Eeek! Well, all of it disappears the second you put them on, and only Sherlock Holmes would notice the nearly invisible contrast stitching. They take a bit of experimenting to find the best notch to put them on as far as the buckle goes, but after a few days of bending and fiddling I realized there is a short piece of elastic near the buckle, so that once you get them set up, just slide them on and off with a little tug of the heel strap. Easy! These shoes are very flattering, go with just about anything (I wear them with jeans, casual skirts, and casual dresses) and I have gotten several compliments. I have had all manner of other Chacos and similar shoes, and these beat them all--far and away--in comfort and style. I was hoping for them to be a sort of leather strapped version of the Chaco sandals I have worn for years, but they are infinitely more comfortable than that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing like 'real' Chacos Was very eager for these to arrive. As soon as I pulled them out of the box, I knew there was something wrong: Unlike ALL other strapped Chacos these straps are NOT adjustable! My feet are by no means huge/fat/wide and I couldn't even get the toe strap on! You must have a perfect, skinny foot for them to fit -- unlike all my other Chacos there's no 'give' in them. They go back tomorrow.
