Arch support, cushion, and cute!
Iām usually a bit skeptical of sandals that might aggravate my plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendonitis but these have been great from the moment I snagged them from the rack. They have a bit more cushion than average sandal and a bit of arch support. They actually felt better than my trainers with my orthotic insoles. I was a little worried the cute knot on the top straps might rub and be annoying but itās not an issue at all. The knot lays flat on the underside of the straps. Adorable and very comfortable sandals. Iāve worn them a few times on this spring trip to the PNW and walked a few miles in them and even wore them on a kayak adventure yesterday so they got a little wet and the straps didnāt chafe when wet. They might look a bit big when you first put them on, but walk some steps in them and itās like your foot settles in the right spot. Overall love these sandals and think this will be my go-to pair for this spring and summer.
pretty great so far, more elevated looking
my first pair of Teva's. I went to the store to buy some new sandals for an upcoming trip where I am going to be walking 12-15 miles a day in a large trendy humid US city. REI didn't have what I was looking for so I took home a different pair of Teva's that looked (no offense!) "old lady-ish" & very "PNW-ish" [I am 39]. Luckily when I got home, I looked online and found these and ordered them on a whim. when I got them, I was very pleased with how cute they looked & I've now worn them a couple times to break them in, very very comfy! I returned the other Teva's & kept these. I also tried a pair of cute Keen sandals but they were not as comfy, with the strap rubbing on my ankle. The slight platform of these makes them look "in trend", the thin straps are stylish and while the knots don't make or break the look, they had a small flair. I hope these do well for all the walking I am about to do! So far, I'm a fan. I do still like my Chacos but these are slightly more elevated for the city. Not as much arch support as Chacos though. I am a solid 8.5 and that size seems to fit well. These also do not pinch my feet, lots of room for my toes and the straps seem to not rub (so far). The ankle strap is velcro which gives me pause as velcro wears out fast.
Too wide in forefoot, not adjustable
With no way to adjust the straps across the front of the foot, I found these to be too loose. I tried to compensate by tightening the ankle strap more, but that was very uncomfortable. If you have wide feet these might work for you, would not recommend if you have narrow feet. I usually wear a 9.5-10 in sandals, and Iāve had a pair of Tevas in 10 before. Got these in a 10. Length was fine, so I could not size down. Ended up returning.
