Unnecessary & Unsuccessful Changes (Terran Post 4)
After twelve years of buying Merrell sandals, I have been greatly disappointed. The new strap across the toes was very painful for me, so I had to cut it off. The toe loop feels much larger on this version, and the shoe kept sliding off my foot, so I modified the loop. The velcro strap does not help at all. If the next version fits like the Terrran 4 Post Wrap, I will not buy it. On a positive note, the soles are even more comfortable than usual. Merrell, please, revisit the previous versions of sandal uppers which worked so well. Thank you.
New feature uncomfortable
I have purchased several pairs of this sandal over the years. The best feature, in my opinion, is that the sandal makes allowances for bunions. The most recent purchase was very disappointing. The additional strap over the toes is uncomfortable and causes the shoe to fit incorrectly. Sadly, I'll be looking elsewhere unless the strap is eliminated.
I wanted to love them like my Terran 3 but….
I got these because they were similar to my favorite, Terran 3 Cush Post but alas the fit isn’t the same and I seem to get a back ache after wearing them all day. Must be a different sole design. I continue to try to make them work as I liked the adjustable strap. They seem a half size bigger too. I’ll return to my Terran 3 in the future!
The most comfort !
I’ve gotten 1 pair of Merrell sandals a few years ago & they lasted 3 or 4 seasons. I needed another pair of “good “ sandals and I picked these, so happy I did. Extremely comfortable, durable and fashionable! I wear them everyday and I’m interested in another pair. Love these sandals!
Old version is much more comfortable
The old version was so much more comfortable i wish they would return to that version. I bought 2 of the old version still wearing them. I bought 2 og the new version and still have not worn the 2nd pair because they are just not comfy. Please bring back the older version!
Not as good
They aren't as comfortable as the other ones i always got the piece that goes across the toe is uncomfortable and just overall not as comfy as the sandle on my right foot. I'm so disappointed they don't make those anymore I most likely won't be ordering anymore.
Most comfortable shoe
Best shoes. I just put them on and didn't want to take them off. They were so very comfortable and pretty. I would recommend highly to anyone wanting a pretty and comfortable shoe for summer.
Toes Strap
I love these sandals. I had to cut off the strap across the toes because my little toe was getting stuck. I left the big toe strap on. They are very comfortable now.
A bit disappointed.
I chose to purchase another pair of sandals after being disappointed with how they lasted in the past. I very much like the comfort of them for walking and the fit for me is good, as usual. However I don’t like the wrap with Velcro. The strap has an end that is far too long and sticks out. I’d prefer the same sandal with fewer straps and a buckle rather than Velcro. Years ago I bought a merrel sandal with a cork footbed. They are simple, light, flexible and still have some wear in them in spite of being 15+ years old.
Comfy but need half size and lose the skinny strap
These are super comfortable like my other merrell sandals. I gave it 3 stares though for several reasons. First they only come in whole sizes and they’re a big difference. The 8 was too long with the toe piece sticking out about an inch. The 7 is barely long enough. I opted for the 7 because the 8 was also too wide and I know they loosen up when wearing. Second issue: I don’t like the skinny strap. It has no function and only makes it harder to slip them on. I wish that Merrell would make the older version.
