Irregular socks

Not in the description but these are "irregulars". They seem fine to me. They are stamped on the side of each sock "irregulars".

Great socks but don't last long

I'm a distance runner and have bought several pairs of these socks in the last few years. In fact, they are now the only socks I use for running. However, they don't last very long. Last week I put them to the test - I bought a new pair and used them three times (for a total of 50 miles) with a wash between each use. They ALREADY have a hole in the toe. I keep my toenails short, so that's not the problem. As they are rather pricey, I'm going to have to switch to a longer-lasting sock.

Paper thin, low quality, and very slick material

I have purchased many socks from SmartWool directly and these just do not seem to be the same quality. When they arrived in the mail, they had strings all over them that had to be trimmed. They are also extremely thin and the material is very slick. I certainly wouldn't run or even go for a long walk in these because I think you would risk serious blisters. REI also advertises these with a heal tab. That is a joke. The tab will not cover your heal. I called to return these and apparently you have to pay return shipping when THEY inaccurately describe items. I wont be ordering anything from REI again.

Black runs small

I got several pairs of these in aqua and in black. Love them, excellent comfort and quality. The black ones run slightly small in my experience.

Long lasting and perfect for a light sock!

I had a pair for about 4 years (with regular use - about 5 days a week) and they looked really good and they didn't have any holes in them even when I decided to finally get a new pair (which I have bought 3 of). They have a nice tab on the back so that the sock does not slip down (love this) and they are non-show which I like. These wick moisture extremely well. I find them great for me to wear because of how much my feet swell with working out/getting hot, that they are light/thin enough to not make my foot squished in my shoe, but they do the job as described. I LOVE these. Nice colors this year, too. Well worth the investment even though the price is higher than I would like, these last a LOOOONG time.

Great Running Socks

The first time I bought these socks I wasn't super impressed right away because I just didn't notice much of questions difference between these and regular socks... until I tried to go back to regular socks. I don't think I can ever go back now. I love these running socks a lot. They keep me nice and solid in my shoes, no sliding around as I move. They're also well made, so the seams along the toes don't rub blister when running long distances (which was a problem for me with my previous socks). This is the second time I've ordered multiple pairs of these socks, and I expect that there will be more.

Okay

I wear a size 6 shoe and these are slightly loose on me. The heel tab is blue, not gray as in the picture. The amount of wool listed on the package is less than the amount in the product description. But the color and stitching is true to the picture. They are not cushioned and a tad bit slippery but they are comfortable.

These were irregular!

When I bought these from REI Garage, I didn't realize that they were stamped irregular -- this was not indicated on the page itself.

Switching my whole sock wardrobe

I used to only use Smartwool socks for hiking. I bought my socks for running/walking in a multipack. Then my daughter gave me some SW running socks as a gift. I thought it was a bit extravagant (they are a lot more expensive per pair than the packs I usually bought), but enjoyed being indulged. When I found myself always reaching for them first as soon as they were clean, and being bummed when they weren't, I knew it was time to invest in some more. These were the latest add to my collection, and they didn't disappoint! So comfy, and always look great!

Saves heals!!!

Excellent socks! My heals usually get torn up with my shoes after hiking and running for several hours. The extra clothe addition to the heal has saved my heals. Super comfy.
