Halfway there
The concept is fantastic as is the rubber part that rolls on to your water bottle - however the carabiner itself is rubbish. Pretty much the worst non-climbing carabiner I've encountered. So - buy this and a #4 s-shaped NiteIze S-Biner or other carabiner of your choice, take the rubber element off the Bison carabiner and squeeze on to the S-Biner. Throw away the Bison carabiner or give it to someone you don't like very much. Now you have a fantastic clip for your water bottles. Works great then!
It works just fine
Quickly clips/unclips from my travel backpack. The rubber piece fits over the neck of most disposable personal-sized water bottles. The clip is kind of junky and sometimes doesn't close.
Easy to hold
Loved that it fit snuggly on water bottle top. Made it easy to hold with my fingers, or my son clipped it on his belt loop, (no amazingly his belt loop didn't break, and he didn't mind having it there.) I clipped it on my daypack, but it made my daypack feel lopsided. Clipped it on to my backpack and it was perfect. Although, it did swing back and forth until I strapped it on. Great for clipping on luggage or backpack when running on and off trains. I ended up using it as a loop for holding my water bottle in my hand. I like the idea and it is reasonably priced. It gave me versatility in holding my bottle. ......Only thing is the clip on the carabiner broke, REI replaced it at no cost.
Serves the purpose
Works just as you'd expect it to. Haven't put it though any tough stuff yet, but it excels at holding standard plastic water bottles. I don't ever feel like the rubber ring will fail spontaneously.
Handy Little Gadget
With the carabiner, this handy item will clip on almost anywhere. The rubber piece fits average commercial size water bottles. Doesn't work well clipping to a belt loop as it bounces around on your hip. Therefore, you need to find a handy place on your pack to attach it where it is easy to reach. Even then, it may swing and bounce around some. I recommend this for short walks or birding walks rather than longer hikes.
VERY handy
Due to radiation damage from cancer treatment I do not produce saliva and have to have water with me 24/7. Carrying a bottle throughout the day is problematic. This little gem is a godsend for me. The caribiner itself isn't much so I replaced it with a more durable, slender style. Now it is perfect. I can clip it on and off a belt loop, pack strap or anything. This thing really works for me!
The best water bottle holder
I have used this to clip a water bottle to my pants belt loop for a very long time and it has never failed. The rubber bottle holder is still supple and does not show any signs of cracking. My only wish is that the rubber bottle holder came in a variety of sizes to small and wide mouth bottles.
Easy way to carry a bottle of water.
I had two of these and loved them because it's so easy to just carry a bottle of water when you don't need a pack. Clips on nicely to a belt loop. The caribener broke on one of them, they were cheap enough, so bought another. I really like the convenience!
Easy to use
This is perfect - just what I needed! I clip it on my workout bag since it didn’t have a mesh side pocket for my water. It’s tight enough to keep my bottle on yet easy enough to take off. Reasonable price too.
Carabiner broke after 1 use
agree with other reviewers, the concept is great but the carabiner cli; is garbage. It's a water bottle so you would expect the clip can at least handle about 16 oz of weight. Nope the clip broke after 1 use.
