Sturdy, Durable, Nice-Looking

I've had these Reef flip flops over a year now. I'm retired and live in Florida, so I wear them about half the time. So, these have about 6 months of continuous use for me. That's probably years of use for most people. One reason I bought them is my old flip flops were dangerously slick on wet concrete. These have tread and are decently grippy. The tread is still good over about 90% of the sole. The soles are kind of thick and stiff at first, but they became very comfortable. No sign of failure yet. They have gotten a little thin near the toes. The bottle opener on the bottom is a gimick. If I ever go to a 1960s beach party, it might be handy.

super comfy

Very comfortable on the arches. I have wide feet and these have both held up well and been extremely comfortable. I've had them for about 4 or 5 months and they have a few scratches under the toes on the front of the sole, but have otherwise resisted any and all wear and tear. The bottle opener is useful sometimes... I never thought I'd use it but I actually needed it the day I bought them! The downside, however is when you step in your neighbor's dog's poo... hard to clean around the metal opener parts...

Not sure about the heel

I've had this pair for about two years and though its what i wear almost every day, this pair is not as comfortable as my ancient pair of reefs (going on 8 years old now). I believe it has to do with the heel. These reefs have a raised heel unlike my older reefs which are basically flat. After a long day wearing my "fanning" reefs, I switch over to my older reefs for comfort.

"The with-stood the test"

This flip flops are great! Once you break them in they are great on all terrain. My feet are a little wide so, I was a little hesitate to wear them on long walks. They held up, though!! On all surfaces; dusty dirt trails, sidewalks, at the beach, grass, etc. The straps didn't over stretch after the long walk. Feet were still comfortable...

Very Comfortable

Surprisingly comfortable. These are build quite a bit more ruggedly than your average flop, they ahve some extra cushion and stiffness in the sole...more like a sneaker sole with at sandal top. Bottle opener is totally functional and useful....expect some looks though when they are grubby & worn in and you offer to open someones brew...

Not sure about this one.

In comparison to other Reefs that I have owned, this pair is definitely heavier and less comfortable overall. You have to shove your feet in to make them stay on and there isn't much flexibility. The bottle opener, while a neat extra, most likely adds all of the weight, which makes them less comfortable to use on a daily basis.

Worth every penny!

I've had this for about 2 years and I've worn it everywhere, to the beach, Disneyworld, etc. The cushion on the back has never disappointed me and neither has the bottom. It seems silly to have a bottle opener but I've used it alot and people are surprised/impressed that I can come up with one on the spot. =)

Most Excellent!!!

These flip-flops met my criteria: they look good and feel good. People are amazed with the bottle opener. Don't get the flask ones though (friend had back experience). They've lasted a couple years now and I don't see myself throwing them out anytime soon...might even get a 2nd pair, new color!

Not like the old Reef comfort

These are very stiff in the heel. Whatever the idea was for cushioning, it isn't working. I'm 6'6", 240 lbs, and I'm getting very little give even with the impact I put on the heel. I expected better from an old name like Reef than this.

Great Sandals

These sandals are the most comfortable that I have worn. They offer good cushioning and support for a flip-flop. Plus you can't beat the looks you get when you open your beer with your shoe.
