Men ORA Recovery flip flops are coming apart after

Bought these flip flops from Portland Running Company on April 18, 2023. They started to fall apart at the seams so I called Hoka, and they want me to pay to return these and maybe they will replace them. At $55 they were not cheap and should last more than a few months occasionally wearing them.

Poor quality

The cushion and comfort of these sandals are great. Love them. Unfortunately the straps are made from a super weak material and have broken and are coming apart in multiple places. I'm just past the 90 day return window and am unable to return. I expected better quality.

Hoka recovery

These flip flops are the most comfortable things I have ever worn! However, this is my second pair that hasn’t even lasted 6 months without one of the straps pulling out which makes them useless. For $60 I personally think they should be lasting a lot longer than that ! Hoka’s are the only thing I buy at REI didn’t see the need to purchase a membership thinking the first pair that didn’t last was a fluke but here I am 2 pairs $120 later in less then a year. Buyer beware.

Failed after three days

I usually buy olukai ohana flip flops and the usually last daily wear for atleast 24 monthslove Hoka shoes so I decided to give these a shot. Delivered 10/12 and worn daily. Very comfy and supportive. Today 10/15 just three days later the inner side strap on the right flop ripped in half from just normal walking use.

Ora Recovery Flip-Flops broke after only 2 MONTHS!

The Flip Flops were very comfortable but broke after on 2 months. The connection between the toes broke away from the sole of the flip flop. I am very disappointed. These are far too expensive to break after only 2 months.

Most unstable flip flop ever

I was excited about these for wearing around the house. Hoka’s are always comfortable right? Wrong! Yes, they are extremely cushy but the back heel is so high your entire foot is positioned at an angle. The high arch is nice but the angle from heel to toes makes me feel so unstable and at risk of twisting my ankle. Instead of hogging your heel, the extra cushioning of the heel just bounces your foot around every which a way making for an unpleasant walking experience. The hoka cushion is nice but it shouldn’t be at the expense of proper secure fit.

Great sandals but don’t leave out in the sun

Fantastic flip flops. I can’t wait to slip these in after kicking off my Hoka running shoes. My feet are never as happy as when they’re in these ORA sandals. Just be careful not to leave them out in the sun! I washed my first pair and left them to dry in the sun. They shrank 2 sizes.

Plantar fasciitis

Got into running and both feet hurt. I wear these around the house and sometimes out and about here in Florida. No pain. Feels great. As far as durability they are holding up for 4 weeks wearing everyday. Seems like they will last me a while. HOKA makes a great product

Straps Are Cheap And WAAAAAAY Too Big

I rarely leave reviews, but these are so bad I feel obligated. The straps are a flimsy lightweight rubber.... and gigantic. Walking around they fly off my feet. Standing still, they are great, but I need to move. I have worn Montrail Recovery sandals for 15 years, but they are discontinued. Tried these and they are awful. Not the same Hokas as the ones I run in.

uncomfortable redesign

I bought my first pair of Ora recovery flip-flops in late 2022. They were super comfortable right out of the box. But I destroyed them on a recent walk that was tougher than I had anticipated - over rocks and boulders on a beach. So I ordered a new pair expecting the same comfortable flip flop. However, they were uncomfortable right out of the box and remain so after about 3 weeks. I called Hoka to let them know. I was told the shoe had been redesigned. They don't have any of the older model. Oh well.
