Great Flip-Flops
I got these based on a recommendation from a friend.I was searching for a new pair of Flip-Flops and I noticed that he was wearing a pair from OluKai.My first question was were they comfortable, and he told me that they were the best he's ever owned.Well have to confirm that after wearing mine for two weeks I can say that they're hands down the best I've worn. The first thing is the fit. It's like having a shoe but without the closed feeling of wearing one.Second would be the foot bed. The Arch support is excellent, the foot bed is comfortable for long walk and there is no severe shock from walking the cushion takes that right out and eliminates any kind of fatigue. Lastly I have to say I would tell anyone that if you want a good looking Flip-Flop pick go and try them on and see how you feel, you just may be surprised.

Don't leave them in the sun!
Super comfortable & seemed well made. NOT! I left them outside my kitchen door & see for yourself what happened! The glue totally failed & the shoes came apart.

Shoes do not last hour - REI cashier rude

I purchased these sandals for my husband. I decided after the store visit to take an hour hike nearby. It was a hot day, the cab interior got to 95 degrees so not ridiculous. But when we picked up the sandals to wear to the creek, the interior part of the sole had shrunk and it had separated around the edges. I’ve had this brand of shoe, similar styles of flip flops and have never had this issue, even when I’ve left them in my vehicle for a week or two (lazy I know). Aren’t sandals supposed to be worn in hot weather as well? Aren’t beaches and poolside cement a lot hotter? So I went to rei to either return or replace them. The lady who I spoke with was very short and rude, telling me “every shoe has glue so this happens” and said there would be no refund or exchange. When I tried to ask more about it, I was shut down and looked at blankly. She told me to try to manufacturer directly and that was it. I’ve never had a negative experience at rei, most of my camping and adventure gear and clothing are from here. But I really hope this isn’t the new normal.

Disposable junk flip flops

Disposable flip flops - the sole separates after 1 year (warranty) and they will not honor replacement or even repairing / gluing sole back on. 1st pair the sole failed and had an REI Gift card so purchased 2 more pair thinking it was a one off failure, only to find its a built to fail design. Uppers and bottoms are like new - just lack of glue to hold together. For $80+ would think they stand behind product after 1 year - but that's all the Glue is designed for.

Not worth the money

I purchased these for my husband for Christmas. Upon arrival the left one does not lay flat on the floor. It may work it self out if worn but he already has issues with his feet and if it didn’t the part this is turned is at a high pressure pony and would defiantly wear out way quicker. The insole also looks like the glue that attaches the sole may come apart. They just look much cheaper than $65.

Olukai Ohana Mens Slippers

These slippers replaced some Reef slippers. These are definitely made for people with a straight lasted foot and with a moderately high instep and arch. They fit true to size and are very suportive and comfortable. The soles are very grippy for walking on slippery pavement or surfaces. I would definitely refer these slippers to others.

Comfortable sandal, toe strap failure.

Very comfortable sandal. I've loved the arch support that these sandals provide. The long wearing soles look almost brand new. Toe strap failed within a year and have reached out to Olukai for warranty support. Would recommend with reservations. At this price, I would expect them to last beyond a year.

After 8-9 years the straps began flaking

I have had these for nearly 10 years. They don't get long walks, they are more a casual around the house sandal as well as one that I will wear out to happy hour or a night of playing pool. I appreciate the arch support and I find them very comfortable. My issue is that even though the sole and footbed have remained in great shape, about a year ago the material on the top of the straps started to disintegrate and flake off, and now it is so bad they would be an embarrassment to wear out. For me, this is just a waste of a good shoe. This might not bother most people, as you might wear out the sandals before time causes the top straps to disintegrate. But for me, I may try to switch to their leather version in the future.

OHANA premium comfort and feel. Still the best.

OHANA are my favorite Olukai in that the foot bed is wider through the mid foot and heel. Grip is outstanding with the coral motif, gripping lugs. As far as color, “Kona” is really an olive green color. Very earth hues with grey, green and brown mixed in. At first I was going to send them back but now I feel they work with khaki or black shorts. They look upscale as well as beach worthy and the color will hide dirt very well. Ahi Kai and OHANA are my absolute favorites and I own many.

Disappointed with recent quality

I have owned 4-5 pairs of these over the last few years since they were originally closer to the $100 price tag. It seems to me the quality is dropping. My most recent pair I just got in today feels very rubbery/plasticy compared to the earlier versions that I had. It even leaves a film on my feet that I am sure will go away with time.... But just hate to see a company changing the quality of it's product over time. It makes me lose the trust I once had and will ultimately cause me to search for a replacement. Also, as other have mentioned I have as well had the thongs rip/pop off after a year or less of use. I feel like I just paid $65 for a pair of flip flops that cost them $6 to make... if that...
