Great Slippah for Wet Conditions
If you like the OluKai Ohana, you will love these when the get wet. I’ve had several pairs of Ohanas over the past decade and the are great all arounders - well constructed, comfortable, good arch support and about as good looking as a slippah can get. The Ulele has all of the same features but perform a little better when exposed to water. The footbed is less squeeky and dries out faster when wet. It is also just slightly tighter around the foot so it doesn’t fall off as easily when running for cover during a tropical downpour. The sole is also slightly grippier on wet pool deck after said downpour. Bottom line - a great slippah for wet conditions, they even float. If you are never gonna get your feet wet, then no real advantage over other OluKai’s.
Walking on a supportive cloud
Feels so natural that you forget you’re wearing them. That’s the Olukai difference.
Great Construction, No Cushion
These have no cushion, and after a hour of use, they hurt my back. The Ulele flip-flops are well constructed, have great materials and don't slip on my feet. I was able to stretch them out a bit, and they fit wonderfully. But the lack of cushion started hurting my joints. But the lack of cushion just felt like a brick for me to wear under my feet. Teva, Chaco, and other sports sandals have more cushion, and I don't have backpain / joint pain with those other sandals, just these. I've grown to hate these sandals and wanted REI to carry the Teva brand flip-flops (they don't anymore - :( ).
Yes, you really do need these!
Worth every penny, I promise. I haven't been able to take these off since I bought them for an upcoming boating vacation. First, they look great. Second, they are going to look even better with the other Tommy items in your shopping cart...just think about it. And finally they have a high arch to properly support your foot (which means that the cheap flat drug store pair you've been wearing for years has been terrible for your feet!). I'm a size 12 and these fit perfectly. (So well in fact that I just bought a second pair off OluKai's website where they offer it in the impossible-to-find men's size 7 for him.) Come on, you deserve these. You know you do.
These sandals are a mixed bag.
Sturdy build. Soles are a bit thin for hard surfaces. Straps are hard, and fit my feet funny, so my heel sits at the outer edge of the sole, not in the heel cup. The sole has thin grooves that hold sharp grains of sand and scratch my floor & furniture. Size 10 fits more like 9.5
Theses look great and I use them when I go boating
Love these I have multiple pairs od Olukai sandals.
Perfect blend of support, comfort, & style!
Love them! On my third pair as I wear them daily.
Size up if you are a 1/2 size
I’ve had these since May of 2023 and they have held up great. Especially considering I basically live in them during the summer and into the early fall. I am normally a size 11.5 and since they only have full sizes I wish I sized up instead of down. I got the 11 and experienced weird foot pain while breaking in the foam. I almost stopped wearing them but I persisted and now they are absolutely excellent and are very comfortable. I think sizing up to 12 would have negated this issue. Regardless I am happy with them and am considering getting a new pair.
Good sandals
Only had for a couple weeks but so far I really like these sandals. They fit true to shoe size
Be wary of width
Overall, I really like this product but the heel width is narrower than other Olukai Sandals. I had to return them.
