Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great trailside meal. Very tasty. Very tasty backcountry meal. Please note these meals are specially formulated for high physical stress situations. Do not eat these meals at home, they are designed for on trail consumption to replenish what your body needs after a big calorie and electrolite burn. I can't say enough about the Pro Pack series. They are the PERFECT size and the vacuum packaging really cuts down on the space required in your backpack yet still has the handy ziplock strip and same great taste. I highly recommend these meals as best of breed (for taste, convenience, portioning, and consistency) for backcountry meals.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Scrummy after a long hike If you're on a multi day trip, make this meal your first. Loaded with flavor. Tastes like a quality chicken teriyaki bowl I'd get from my local takeout shop. The pro-pak is worth the extra dollar or so. It's vacuum sealed and takes half the space as the non pro-pak. I think it's a half oz smaller in portion but the portion is pretty large to begin with. I'd also suggest the extra long handled spoon that REI sells. If you've eaten one of these meals before you know what I mean about having a long handled spoon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice size for 1 person The package shown on the website is different than the one I picked up at my local REI store. The smaller size really packs well. The amount of food was more than adequate too at 16 ounces. The chicken tasted good. I wish it had a stronger teriyaki flavor, but that's just me. I'd buy this one again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yummy! This is the best Mountain House product I have tried. Next time, I will get my own and not share. I always use a little less water then recommended and I let it sit for 10 minutes, with me mixing the outside of the bag after 5 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Flavor I usually hate these type of meals but I thought this one tasted great after a long snowy day. Might need a little bit more cooking time than the package says, but I was at high altitude.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad but very sweet Texture is very good, with nice chicken chunks and rice reconstituting nicely. Teriyaki favor is there, but be aware that this sauce is very sweet and may not be to everyone's liking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good About to go backpacking for the first time and thought I'd try this at home first. It was easy to make and I thought it was good right out of the bag. I'm glad I bought a long handled spoon. 2 servings was too much for one meal. The rest is in the refrigerator for later.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tasty and not spicy This packet lasted me for two dinners, when I added in a little extra freeze dried vegetables. I think they could have included more chicken in there, but overall it was a tasty meal, not too strong in taste and not spicy at all.
