Not waterproof!

This first aid kit has all the basic necessities you need, and fits nicely in the case. However, it is advertised as being "watertight", which is definitely not the same as "waterproof". I guide whitewater river trips, and after taking this kit on the river only a handul of times, all of the contents became wet. I made sure to ziplock the bags tightly, but much to my dismay, water still got in. Granted, the kit sat in a puddle of water in the bottom of my dry bag, but with the way this kit is advertised, I would have expected the contents to remain dry. In the end, I only got one use out of the kit before it became wet, and thus contaminated. I learned my lesson: A pelican case is essential.

NOT Waterproof as Advertised

I purchased this kit because I've used this brand many times and generally love their kits because they're waterproof. NOT THIS ONE. It's advertised as such, but today I went in, and the kit is soaked. Much of the $35+ kit is ruined.

Great Kit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Adventure Medical Kit Ultralight/Watertight .9 to take with us when we go on day trips hiking or on vacation. It is small enough and light enough to carry in a backpack or tote bag. The outer case is waterproof and the items inside are in waterproof bags. It comes with an assortment of wound care items, along with medication packs and instruments. This is a great kit to have in your car, boat camper or backpack. I would recommend this product.

Used this once, didn't like it

Actually had to use this kit on a nasty cut to someone's head. I couldn't find what I needed quickly and ended up just throwing all the contents out to get to what I needed. I had been flagged down while driving past, so it probably didn't inspire confidence. I can't imagine trying to find things while in a kayak or in the dark. I've since bought another kit with better organization.

Lightweight and Waterproof

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Adventure Ultra light/Watertight .9 Medical Kit is great for travel, hiking, road trips, camping, bicycling, etc. The exterior yellow bag is made of a water-resistant nylon material with a water-resistant zipper and inside are 2 waterproof zip-locked bags filled with first aid essentials. It's organized, labeled, and compactly packaged, but there is still room to put in some additional items if needed. The kit is super lightweight and fits perfectly in a backpack or tote bag. It's very important to be prepared of any situations, so I take this medical kit everywhere I go. I recommend this medical kit.

Good for backpacking

Got a nasty wood puncture wound and decided I needed a more substantial first aid kit with an irrigation syringe for future puncture wounds in the woods. This fit the bill and at 10.5oz wasn't going to break my pack. I'm happy with all the included components and waterproofing but wish they included scissors and found a way to organize the components for ease of finding in a hurry / the dark.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great kit has everything you need for outdoor adventures. The kit includes Kit includes antiseptic wipes, an array of medications for pain, inflammation, and common allergies, an assortment of bandages and wraps, wound care supplies, and die-cut Moleskin with tincture of benzoin adhesive. And the waterproof kit is lightweight. Only thing it’s really missing is hot/cold packs. Overall great kit.

Very light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very light weight for me to carry. This product is small, but packs a punch. It has all u need if you are hucking, camping, or just enjoying mother nature. It has all I need for a small trip to elk falls in nc. Actually really glad I had this pack ,because I have a epipen for bees . I go hiking to see the falls I am allergic to bees and put my epipen in the kit not thinking anything else about it . I go aule to the falls go to take a pic and dang it dropped everything in the current. Normally it would all be gone ,but the watertight seal keep the kit afloat to where I could catch it. GOOD THING cause u needed it walking back up I got stung. This could have cost my life ,however not this day

Great Kits

I was very impressed by this first aid kit. It is extremely light and is very complete. Of course with wall kits you should go through it and see if there are any personal items that you want to add but I could not think of anything but I am sure I will a some point! The bags are nice but I have a problem closing them up which is why I did not give this five stars. Pros: Lightweight, compact, complete Cons: Bags I plan on buying several more to put in the car and around the house. I also will be looking at the other kits that are sold by this brand.
