Very warm but Feathers falling out

The arctic parka is very warm jacket however the feathers keep falling out. At first I thought it was just Lint from being a new piece of Garment but its been over 2 months now and both lint & feathers keep coming out. Also spoils the inner layers.

Faded

I've had this coat for a few winters. The color is fading badly!!! It looks cheap now. Also the down is clumping inside of the coat. Looks ratty now. Too bad for such an expensive coat.

Extremely Disappointed and dissatisfied!

This is the second time I am submitting my review for this parka. The first time, TNF did not publish it and did not inform me of the reason. anyways, let's try it one more time. I bought two of these parkas in black as Christmas gift for my family members. In the store they looked great and when they tried them they looked good. So they removed the tags and decided to wear them. But the first time they wore them outside, it was shocking! The fur trim changed colour from grey to purple! Just like a clown wig! Since we had two of them, we brought the other one outside and the same thing happened. It looks horrible! Looks like a cheap $25 jacket! But this is not the end of story. We could not return them to store because they were worn and tags were removed. My family members were not happy and the whole Christmas gift situation was ruined. I decided to reach out to The North Face warranty to see if they can assist us and maybe resolve the issue as I had paid a lot of money for these jackets and nobody wanted to wear them. It took TNF support a month before they replied to my complaint and they asked for a lot of pictures and information. I sent all the requested info right away and another two weeks went by and they came back to me with "we will make an exception in your case but you have to first ship the fur trims to us to Montreal at your own cost and we will then send you two new grey furs"!!! Are you joking? It has already been two months since I reached out to you and the winter is almost finished. The parkas are just sitting in the closet eating dust and the whole time we are just wondering if we should go and buy another parka, will TNF refund us, will they assist us to return to store, will they maybe offer to give us two furs in another colour like beige, etc. And you come back saying that you will send us another grey fur only after I pay out of pocket for shipping cost! All the grey furs turn purple in this jacket. It is a design/product deficiency and the fact that multiple people already mentioned it here in the reviews means that TNF has no clue what is wrong with their products and don't care about their customers reviews which is very disappointing. I used to be a fan of TNF and all their products. My family and I own multiple TNF jackets, parkas, boots, etc and never had to contact their customer support but this is it for us! We will never ever buy any TNF product because they don't stand behind their products.

I really like it!

Like the coat, got the gardenia colour, which is nice. Seems warm and quite well fitting. I ordered medium which is a bit loose but was worried small would be too small. Usually wear a size 8-10

Why Velcro!?

This is my second jacket in this style. Covers everything, nice and warm. But there's Velcro. So much Velcro. It catches everything. My gloves, scarf, sweater. When your hands are cold, it cuts through your skin. I do not like this jacket because of that. I would not recommend this jacket to anyone. BECAUSE OF THE VELCRO. My other jacket had snaps. Go back to those. The zipper is also temperamental. Imagine putting on your coat and struggling with the zipper for 5 min while sweating and and scratching your hands on the barbed wire patches they stuck all over this thing.

I bought this jacket using my HCP discount, but had to return. I followed the measurements down to a tee, re-measured again and size chart says I'm a size small. I tried it on, and I looked like a bell. It was too big for me. I asked if I can return and order for an XS, however the jacket no longer qualifies for the HCP discount. I was very sad as I really wanted to like this jacket and wanting to buy a good winter jacket for this coming Canadian winter season. Canadian winter is brutal. But I cannot buy this in regular pricing, it's out of budget for me.

Im always cold in below freezing temperatures

I have the arctic parka 2 in green bought it from sportcheck over the summer 2021 I loved this jacket until I actually had to use it in cold weather . The wind blows right through it and in any temps from about -5 and colder I am NEVER warm in it even with layers. Especially the sleeves are even colder than the body. For the price paid this jacket should keep me somewhat warm to about minus 25 is what I expected. If I stand still in this jacket I get cold extremely fast... Im very disappointed . I really think its just an issue of the outer fabric not blocking the wind or cold for that matter. Still this should be taken care of for the price range. I will be looking elsewhere for next winter. I will say I love the design Its looks great very feminine

Bring back the hand warmer pockets

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an older black arctic parka w 2 chest zipper pockets & 2 HAND WARMER pockets. Had the coat for yrs, loved it, but it's worn out, zipper broke, stains from my own heavy use. Been trying to find a replacement but I won't buy one unless it has the 2 zipper pockets on the chest (good for keys or pills) and most importantly the hand warmer pockets, which were the best thing about the coat, brilliantly places at the most comfortable position to keep ones hands & body warm. Please bring these back.

Was expecting more for the price tag and reviews

I think if you just happened to fit this coat perfectly it might be great, but for me it was weirdly big in the shoulders, fit my hips but was a bit loose everywhere else. A lot of comments said it was heavy, but I disagree and I think it feels very light for the specs. Also, at this price range I was expecting some more control around the fit, possibly drawstrings around the waist to improve the fit and stop air from getting into the coat. For the price, it just doesn't meet my expectations.

Great jacket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great jacket. I bought one 3 years ago that was stolen. That one was way better quality. I don't like the Velcro on this one and it has no inside pockets. It gets cold but not freezing so the warmth is perfect. The hood fur is cheaper in quality than my other one. But I got it at Black Friday sale so I couldn't pass it up. It will do the trick but I'd never pay full price for it.
