I purchased this coat for a Christmas trip to Montreal and Vermont and was beyond disappointed with the quality. The first time I wore it, and every time after that, I was literally covered in feathers. I am not talking one or two, or even three or four, but covered front and back. As soon as I got back to town I returned it. For the coast the poor quality is unacceptable.
I bought this jacket from the Canadian site and have been wearing it for juts over a month and every time I take it off there's feathers all over me. I tried calling customer service and was routed to a lady in the US who was rude to me and told me it could be months before rectified and redirected me to their website to initiate a warranty claim. I spend a lot of money on my hiking gear and have bought a lot of North Face gear and am VERY disappointed I received that kind of support.
Loved it. Very warm. Even when it gets warm and you walk indoors with it, you don't feel the need to immediately remove it. It's almost like thermal regulating. Even in high winds in the cold of Chicago, Paris and Seattle, I was very comfortable!
I love the warmth of this jacket. It kept me warm and dry during the crazy New England snow & rain. However, every time I unzip the zipper gets jammed. Unfortunately, I had to return. And yes, it shed a ton too.
It is super war and comfortable, great for the winter here in Chicago. However, it sheds a lot! Every time I wear it, I find feathers on my clothes.
The size small was really big on me and the pockets are not normal pockets. I returned for a refund mostly because of the pockets.
really warm and windproof. perfect without any base layer type
