I have been waiting for someone to create the perfect long down parka: mid-calf, fabric cuffs, medium-heavy weight fill, zip hand pockets, interior zip pocket at the top (not at the knees), a collar that zips under the chin, an ADJUSTABLE and REMOVABLE hood, and a great color (white). I am thrilled with this parka. It checks all the boxes. In addition, it is just slightly fitted at the top and a little wider at the bottom so I can actually walk comfortably in it but not look like a walking triangle. The quality is what you would expect of The North Face. I am looking forward to having a parka that covers my bad leg during the cold weather.
Perfect length for me at 5'2" and perfect weight! Love it!
I purchased this North Face coat as a Christmas gift for my daughter, and it exceeded every expectation. The last North Face coat I bought her was over 10 years ago when she was in college, and that one lasted forever, this one feels just as exceptional. The color was perfect, and it is by far the warmest coat she has ever owned. The quality is outstanding, from the materials to the craftsmanship, and it's absolutely worth the investment. I have no doubt she'll be wearing this coat for many years to come. Highly recommend.
I love this jacket. It's my first long jacket and I am obsessed! I feel like it keeps me so much warmer by going so far down because it just holds more of your body heat in. It's also surprisingly light when carrying it/the feel on your body, compared to other jackets I've had but performs better so far. Really like that it has the hood cinching for when it gets windy! I wear it all the time, and expect to get significant use out of it for the rest of this winter and the next several.
Love the jacket but the sizings are off depending on length of the coat. I am generally a size medium average but in the mid length coat I need a size XL to layer comfortably underneath but in the long length I needed a size L as the XL was way too big. Something to keep in mind. It's is very sleeping bag-esque but when that really cold New England weather hits I'll be thankful my legs are covered. This is not for everyone though.
Absolutely have been loving this jacket especially because of the length. I was raking leaves after some snow melted and I still felt pretty warm with just a tee shirt under. My only wish is that it also had buttons in addition to the zipper, because sometimes I don't want to zipper myself all the way, I just want to maybe button a couple of buttons in the middle. (Just a suggestion for future iterations)
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, this coat. Incredibly warm yet light weight. Its nice and long for keeping legs and backside warm, and the bottom zip allows more movement when necessary like getting in your car. I thought the cream color would make me look like a big marshmallow, but I've actually received lovely compliments like " you look so chic". I'm so pleased with this North Face coat.
Love this coat! It is long on me but I love that because it keeps me so warm! I can unzip from the bottom to allow my legs to move more freely. I love to walk all year long but I need something that protects against the wind and cold. Wore it to Chicago on a 20° day recently and I was perfectly comfortable walking around. The hood is an added bonus for keeping out the cold.
Bought this parka for New York winters, was tired of being cold all the time and on the hunt for a full length parka. I was initially afraid it would be baggy and shapeless but it looks great on, and the black is versatile and works in many different situations. Most importantly though, it is WARM! Love the dual zipper, lots of pockets, and nice hood too. Very functional.
