When I first saw this jacket online, I skipped over it. Then I saw it in store and felt the soft sleeves and hood and saw the insulation where I wanted it most. This jacket is my favorite Nordic ski jacket for a very frigid Vermont winter. I pair it with a lightweight fleece for the super cold days. I'll also use it as a mid layer for alpine days. The insulation is on the key areas but my arms and sides can vent off my steam. My partner grabs a wind shell and a puffy vest while I just grab this. This was a great addition to my kit.
Disappointed in this particular hoodie; sewn-through (and thereby featuring cold segments throughout), and the down was much less dense than expected for a mid-layer insulator. Ended up sending this one back before giving it away as a gift - I believe that the recipient deserved a better jacket for the price and quality of this one!
this jacket's sleeves are very flexible giving a wide range of motion which I wanted the temps at Zion ranged from 26-60 degrees in November and it kept me warm out there on the trails, I love it
