Great Pants but Why can't REI offer short length!

I would buy every color if REI carried short lengths! All size inclusion should also apply to height, not just waist size! Please, REI starts offering more shorter lengths when I know this brand provides them. I want to continue to support REI, but if they only carry clothes for 5'5" and are taller, that is not fair. These pants are perfect and stylist for multitasking- traveling and outdoor activity. I wish REI would carry other lengths besides the Regular size.

Honest Review After Owning for a Year

I bought these pants in Ocotber of '22 (less than a year ago). I loved them at first and got lots of complients. They are extremely cute, funcitonal, and comfortable. However, the quality is terrible. I wore rock climbing only a few times before a small hole developed in the butt. I patched it, hoping to keep wearing my favorite pants. Then, in August of '23, a very large rip occured while out on the trail on the butt. I didn't do anything extra to rip them, they just can't hold up to actual wear. If you are a person who isn't outdoorsy and is just buying these pants for wear around town or the home, perfect. If you plan to do anything athetic in them (I hiked and climbed in them) I highly suggest you spend your money on more durable pants. They are truly not worth it for the price and length of use.

Flattering, comfy & functional.

I love these so much, have like 4 pairs in different colors but this burnt orange color I've gotten the most compliments from! Love the cinched waist, it's so flattering! Also like that the side pocket is the perfect distance down my legt to put my phone away for easy access!

Cute but not well-made

When I first bought these pants I LOVED them. I bought them in two different colors and recommended them to all of my friends. However within one month both of my pairs have ripped at the waist cinch. I wore these for casual activities - around the house and on walks with my dog. When the first pair ripped on the second wear I thought maybe it was a fluke. But the second pair ripped when I was literally just sitting on my couch watching tv. Luckily I bought one pair from REI and was able to return them. Unfortunately, Wondery has a really horrible return policy, so I couldn’t get money back for the second pair. I want to love these pants, but the quality is just atrocious.

best hiking pants so far

So far these pants are amazing, they were super comfortable for climbing and despite their stiff appearance they had a little room to give. Only concern is the tag says only to hand wash (and air dry), which makes sense since they’re cotton pants but I wish I didn’t have to fear putting 95 dollar pants into the washing machine. Especially since these are meant to be adventuring pants, and I want to wear them literally everywhere they’re so flattering and versatile.

Comfortable pants!

I have a 29" waist and 40" hips and ordered both the small and medium to see how these pants fit, since there's such a wide gap between sizes on the chart. The small fit my waist fairly snugly, but I have pretty muscular legs and the small was way too slim fitting and restrictive. I definitely need the waist adjusters for the mediums, but they're much more comfortable in the hips/legs and still fairly fitted. If you're between sizes, I would definitely recommend going for the larger size if you want a looser fitting pants/if you plan to exercise in these. The fabric is super soft and feels relatively sturdy and they were fairly comfortable on a steep, rocky hike. I'm usually a leggings hiker and found these to be a *bit* more restrictive than I'd like for rough terrain, but they're still perfect for a more laid back hike, casual wear, or work. Love all the pockets.

I am obsessed!

Finding the perfect pair of pants has always been a challenge for me, and I must say that these pants have been a game-changer. What sets them apart and makes me absolutely obsessed with them are two key features: the sinch waist and the tapered leg. They offer both comfort and style, and I couldn't be happier with them. If you've had trouble finding pants that work for you, these might just be the solution you've been searching for. I'm truly obsessed with them, and I can't recommend them enough.

I've been following wondery for awhile now on insta so I already had a pair of their pants. I decided to grab the black pair because i absolutely LOVE these pants for climbing! Love the little belts at the waist too. Shapes the behind very nicely. Absolutely recommend (for reference, I am 5'2" and get size XS!)

Honestly my favorite pants! I wear these to my local climbing gym all the time and get tons and tons of compliments everytime I wear them. Love the stretchiness and love the straps to loosen the waist after the post climb eats. They also make my butt look amazinnnn

Nice pants, wish sizing was better

I wanted to love these but the sizing doesn’t work with my body as good as i’d like for pants at this price point. According to their website I measured at two sizes smaller than what actually ended up fitting. The pants themselves are a nice change from that typical outdoorsy type material and could easily be worn as street wear as well, which is initially what interested me. I have a more athletic build with larger thighs and bum. My ‘normal’ size was quite tight on my butt/upper thigh and ended up barely covering my buttcrack. However the size up came above my belly button and was pretty baggy in the legs. The huge discrepancy between sizes seems strange to me. I initially order both black and burnt sienna because it was such a unique color. If I do end up keeping them i’ll likely only keep the black in the larger size since you can cinch the waste down and they’re mostly cotton.
