Tried on in store and chose these over another well known brand. I am a solid 18W in most pant styles from most companies, so started trying the XXL. They were way too large and baggy in the waist, crotch, hips and legs. Sizing down to an XL was much better, though the crotch still is a bit puffier than I'd like. The waist is a tiny bit snug, so I won't need the included webbed belt. Even if these stretch some with wearing, they shouldn't be too baggy. I usually go with another store's brand that has many more useful pockets but needed another pair in a light color for upcoming mosquitoey trip. Hoping these fit the bill for the price!
Bought these and find them very good for warm weather (which is what I needed). The attached belt is a plus and good quality. The reasons for the reduced number of stars--the inseam is short (28 inches?) and longer versions are not available. Also, the full elastic waist and extra baggy cut makes these pants really less flattering than they could be, and hit above the boots for me. I'm keeping them, but there is lots of room for improvement without adding to the manufacturing costs.
Got these a month ago. I have tried a lot of Patagonia pants for women and found that they do an awfully poor job of accommodating any semblance of hips/butt. These do a perfect job. Nice long zipper, but if an adjustable rise with the belt and elastic. Great for wearing on the trail and in the car to/from. Only thing is I wish it came with a cinch at the bottom of the legs, for bugs.
Horrible style! Waist comes up to my eyeballs. I am 5'3", 125 lbs, straight athletic build. The waist is super high, tight and the rest of the pants balloon out like MC Hammer. Awful
These are my perfect hiking & travel pants. Bought them to go on safari in South Africa. They are lightweight, sit at my waist, have plenty of pockets and fit my body perfectly. Great color choices so I bought two pairs (pelican & basin green).
I loveeeee these pants. The only thing is they run large. I got the rock melon in a large which is my normal size being a 185Ib 5"5 curvy gal. When i came back they were sold out of the melon so I could size down:'''( Other than that I can see them serving me well this summer! Super light weight and stretchy. I also love the belt to "snatch" that waist:)
These pants have worked out very well for me. I’m 5’4”, curvy 135lbs. I usually only wear high waist cotton pants to avoid them cutting into my crotch but these have not been any problem unless I sit for too long. Taller women will certainly find them to be too short since they fit me perfectly and I have to wear petite or short sizes in many pants. With the medium, I only have to cinch the waist in a little bit and they are loose and comfortable on me. I also have one in a size large which I can wear if I cinch the waist in a lot but it’s really baggy. A small would probably technically fit me perfectly but it would not be as comfortable. I’m able to fit everything that I need in the pockets so these are perfect for hiking. They wash and dry really well but they do get a little bit wrinkly.
The legs are very wide. Pants are comfortable and do not restrict movement when hiking, but they are not as flattering as I had hoped because the legs are so wide. Not sure I'll keep them.
I love the design and the pockets that I need to have. Alas the waist is too high thus making it uncomfortable to wear. It’d be perfect if the waist is a couple inches lower.
Incredibly comfortable pants that fit really well.
