The rise is perfect for tall women!
These high waisted pants have a substantial rise that is perfect for tall women! The length, although slightly cropped for my height (6’1”), is perfect for summer weather. As a tall person, it’s very hot for me to get a rise that is high enough so that the waistband fits at my natural waist and these come pretty close! They are slightly barrel shaped, but only in a flattering way. I would recommend them highly and I have bought two pair!
Comfy, but Low Crotch
Surprisingly comfortable pants with a more utility look and fabric. The fabric is soft and stretchy and the waist was not constricting in the way rigid jeans are while still having more of a work pant look. In the end, I returned them partially because they were a bit too big overall but also because the crotch depth was annoyingly low and I felt it would irritate my thighs to feel it constantly rubbing. Since the pants are so high-waisted, I couldn't hike them up any further. I wrote to the company and learned that their pants typically don't shrink (in case they could have actually fit a bit better afterwards) and decided that sizing down was a better option. I purchased a 34 based on the charts but next time might try a 33. That said, I'm not sure how much that will really improve the low crotch, at least on larger sizes. Per my taste and wearing a larger size, I find there is also too much fabric around the leg with these barrel legged pant styles.
Great colour & the most comfortable pants ever; length not labelled correctly but I will keep them
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the most comfortable pants ever and the chalk colour is beautiful. I bought a second pair even though only available one size larger than I wanted, because the length was ok. Unfortunately, they are at least 3" longer than the other DUER pants I have in this style & length.. No matter - I will hem them. I love this very cool light pink dye- it has a bit of blue in it and that shade looks great with navy shirts & floral shirts. I have these pants in black as well and wish they were not overwashed to look faded. If they were darker black they would be better (slightly neater) for travel. Thanks.
stylish and comfortable
I bought these a few weeks ago and even after washing, they don’t change size and they’re extremely comfortable stretchy and awesome to wear. I’m 140 pounds and got the 25 inch waist which I was between that and the 26.
Not Good...color Not as advertised
These are horrible! The color was supposed to be a cement color, but they were definitely lavender. The pant leg was SO big, both my legs could fit in one pant leg! The proportions are all wrong. Maybe this was just a one-off issue....but don't any chances!
Worth it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 5'6" and 140 lbs. I wear a size 8 in most clothing. I bought a pair of these pants a year and a half ago, and they are my favorite pair. Imagine jeans that feel as comfortable as leggings or sweatpants and still have a flattering fit. These are those pants. I love them so much that I bought an additional pair last month. I ordered one size down from my first pair. Both fit well, but they seem to have more give over time. Kudos to the great new color!
Don't want to take them off!
From the moment I tried on my first Duer stretch canvas utility pants at an REI, I knew I had found my brand. The quality and comfort of the fabric (68% cotton and the rest Tencel and Lycra) is unmatched in my experience. Hard to imagine a more forgiving garment. I put the pants on, and did a number of deep squats. No binding whatsoever. I can't wait for cooler weather, to wear them every day.
Nice pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the 33, which were enormous -- lots of excess fabric everywhere including the length of the pant and they looked wide leg. The 32 was a much better fit and more closely resembled the advertised silhouette though they still look a little baggy on me the waist and seat fit great. The fabric is a dream! I hope you all do more styles with this fabric and in more colors. I got chalk and I love it.
Great pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fit, stretch, quality all very nice. I wish they were offered in longer sizes. I wear them to work (manufacturing) and they are just too short to wear for bending, squatting, kneeling and keeping your legs covered. I’m 5’ 5” 140 lbs. I bought size 27x30 but could have sized down to 26 for a more fitted look. These will probably be travel pants now
Great pants, runs large
These pants are awesome. The chalk color is a very light pinkish purple. I'm 5'5" 119 lbs with a 29" waist. The size 26 fits perfectly in the waist. The length needed to be rolled up 3 times so it would not drag on the floor. I'm planning on having them hemmed. The crotch was fine, not too low as mentioned in another review.
