I'm appealing to Prana to make this Koen Daily Pant (and Koen collection) more available to the older, avid, outdoor women's community. At present Prana offers very limited colors and sizes in 1X-3X. Many of us in our 60's not only seek the larger sizes but also other color options such as sand, beige, mushroom, etc. We want the same style opportunities as the "youthful set"—the ability to wear these pants from a 5-mile trail hike directly to a casual lunch or a day of errands and shopping. Please give serious consideration to the market value of our age group. Many current studies show the senior demographic to be one of the fastest-growing segments in the outdoor industry. PrAna could lead the industry in recognizing that style and adventure don't stop at age 60 or at size XL.
Love these pants -- super-lightweight and flexible, perfect for warm weather activities or just out and about. The waistband is wide and comfy, and I love that the drawstring is internal rather than external (doesn't interrupt the flow of a top that isn't tucked in). I now have three in different colors. I'm 165 lb and 5'6, and the large size fits perfectly. The Newberry color is not as deep as pictured -- it's lighter, more of a clay color. Still pretty and a keeper, but something to be aware of.
Love these. The fit is the same as the original Koen pant. What I wish would change: ADD MORE COLORS!!!! I have the orignial Koen pant in almost every color. The only colors I will wear in this version are the greyed blue and the black. Why can this version not also have the tan, dark and light grey, and green? PLEASE? P.S. Also, please consider making both versions with light fleece lining for winter. I can wear long underwear (and do), but it would be nicer not to.
Never have I been so happy to see an update on an old favorite. The original Koen pant is my go-to hiking and backpacking pant, but I’ve always found the ruching to be a little sloppy-looking for daily wear. These are everything I love about the Koen pant without that problem—possibly the perfect warm weather pants. I’m 5’2” and around 120-125 pounds, and I can wear both the XS and the S, but I prefer the XS so I don’t need to use the drawstring on the waist.
I was pleasantly surprised that I liked this pant! I got the Cargo Green and I was worried it would be too thin and show underwear lines, but it was OK for me. Size is good, the rise is nice, and the waistband is comfortable. I got this for travel and hiking and I need to test that out (especially in warmer weather), but I'm feeling optimistic. I'm going to get another color (black) to test it out too.
After struggling with the old version of the Koen pant (always looked a sloppy on me but I loved the ease of them), I am thrilled that they came out with this version. It's a simple, easy to put on and wear all day, pant. I do a bit of alterations - I like a high waist so I remove the waist tie (which sits weirdly low) and add a 1.5" elastic band to the top.
I live in Kohn pants, I think they are the best, I do really miss the dark grey option, it was my favorite and it went with everything, none of the colors now are as versatile so I’ve started looking at other brands. Please consider bringing back the dark grey option I love PrAna Kohn and will remain a lifelong customer if you do this. Thank you
They are light weight and cool even on a hot day and so comfortable! The fabric feels great against my skin and has just the right amount of stretch. The fit is ideal - not too loose or as body hugging as tights are. (At least for my body type.)
I have these pants in 3 colors and they are my favorite pants to wear. I live in Western NC and clothing is casual. Smoky Mountains and other forests nearby so these are the best hiking pants. Can’t brag enough about them!
I love these pants so much! I wear them in the winter in Maine over wool leggings for outdoor walks (great against the wind) and in the summer almost every day. They are flattering and just the right weight and feel.
