My daily long run go-to supplement
I use these tablets a few days a week on my long runs to give myself a boost when water isn't enough. It replaces my electrolytes and minerals from sweating, but I also don't get that crash because of the no sugar. It's just the stuff my body craves. I really like the strawberry flavor. It tastes like a sweet tart strawberry. The small tablets work great on backpacking trips to help keep the weight down as well. My only minor complaint is that the tablets sometimes don't fully dissolve and I have to either stir or shake my water bottle to mix it fully in.
Fizzy Appeal
Got this product in wild strawberry flavor as a trial. The flavour was ok. Didn't really get to much of that 'berry flavour though. Feel it could have been stronge. Being into seltzer waters lately. I did like the fizz that these tablets were able to provide. Once dissolved it did go down rather smoothly. They did seem to do the trick as i wasn't really to thirsty after my work out. I would drink this before, during and after. What i didn't care for was the visual appearnce once "dissolved". There would still be stuff floating around in the water. In addition, it would often seem to leave a residue on the sides of the glass and top of water. Not sure if I wold pay full proce for these though in the end.
Completely Disolves
These tables are delicious. Not too sweet, just right. They disolve completely, without any shaking, stiring or any other effort. Once disolved, there is no grittiness left. That is a big deal! I would recommend them to anyone looking to stay extra hydrated. These are meant for daily hydration, but I use them on days with prolonged, low key physical activity: hiking, canoeing, etc.
Raspberry Lemonade Hydration Tablet
I will say the taste is delicious!!!! I put my tablet in my insulated reusable water bottle and then poured it into a glass jar to see the color. The color is a light pink. I will say it appears as though it didn't dissolve completely or had a residue once the tablet dissolved. It didn't bother me, as I know the water was fresh and my water bottle was clean. If someone can get past that, then this is perfect for them. It is something that I would certainly purchase. I must admit that it tastes amazing! To check the color, I dumped the contents of my insulated reusable water bottle into a glass jar after placing my tablet inside. It's a pale shade of pink. Surprisingly, it seems like there was some residue left behind after the tablet disintegrated. Since I knew the water was clean and fresh, I wasn't bothered by it. It might bother others. I included a photo so possible consumers can see for themselves what I am referring to. I would definitely purchase this hydration tablet. Flavor is on point!
Thirst Quenching Energy Boost for Lighter Days
I’m a big fan of NUUN tablets. I’ve purchased them before for backpacking, exercising, and sickness. These hydration tablets came right in the middle of a sinus infection and stomach bug one-two punch. I couldn’t have been more grateful! The raspberry lemonade taste and slight carbonation was always a refreshing boost when I drank a glass of water with a tablet in it. Waters with tablets were noticeably more effective than straight water in restoring my energy and quenching my thirst. That’s true during sickness and light exercise. I felt like these daily hydration tablets were just the right amount of boost for lighter days or sick days compared to NUUN’s Sport tablets: The daily hydration tablets have no sugar and no carbohydrates as well as a tweak to the other electrolyte amounts with a noticeable 100mg difference in sodium between the two. The sport tablets would make more sense in environments where you’d lose more sweat. My two notes have to do with taste and residue. First, I found that the best taste and carbonation was following the 16 fl oz recommendation. Both attributes quickly dilute if you have more water in your glass. Second, I found these hydration tablets left residue on the glass that if left would harden and take a little effort to remove. I haven’t had that experience with any other pack of NUUN tablets that I have previously purchased. If you are looking for a thirst quenching energy boost, I’d recommend these tablets!
Not Impressed and will not be using going forward
I have used Nuun and sold Nuun products in the past. I received the daily hydration and I can say I was not impressed with these. Not only did it not fully dissolve it left a nasty type floating debris in my water which you will see from the photos. I tried it on both cold and room temp water and both bottle and tap and same thing happened with two tablets. The flavor was pretty lacking too and it was more of a hint of raspberry lemonade rather that a true flavor I would enjoy. I’ve like them some in the past but the fact they won’t dissolve fully and the flavor just wasn’t there I will stick to other hydration systems.
Refreshing hints of lemon
The Nuun hydration tablets arrive conveniently packaged in an easy to access plastic tube. The flavor I tested was Lemon Splash. Very simple instructions to add the tablet to 16oz of water and you see the immediate dissolution of the tablet in about 90 secs. I used this drink to hydrate while riding Peloton as the winters in South Dakota make outdoor activities and keeping water liquid a challenge. The flavoring is subtle which I found pleasant and refreshing and it is very easily consumed without leaving any aftertaste or unpleasant chalky residue. I can’t say I felt this product enhanced performance, but it did provide hydration and I found the flavoring a nice addition.
Excellent hydration tablets!
This product does exactly what it claims to do: provides a good mix of hydrating minerals (various forms of sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, etc -- see product details for all ingredients) in an easy-to-drink and good-tasting formula. The tablets are small, the tube makes it easy to carry on longer rides, and they dissolve very rapidly in water. (See pics.) I used these while riding my bike, and also to hydrate after a virus left me pretty dehydrated; in both cases, the rather subtle (i.e., not sickly sweet, which I dislike) flavor made it easy to drink and digest. These will be great when working out (running, cycling, hiking), especially on a hot day. Highly recommended!
Hydration on the go in sustainable packaging!
What I love: ease to travel with, quickly dissolve, definitely help with cramping and hydration. Additionally, the packaging and service size is easy to grab a few and take backpacking compared to other brands where you have to scoop powder and dissolve. What I don’t love: only feedback is that I’m not the biggest fan of the orange flavor (recognize this is personal preference).
Mild flavor… balanced hydration
I found this product to be comparable with Liquid IV. The strawberry flavor is mild and it dissolves quickly. There is less sugar in this product than the latter and overall I felt hydrated and balanced from these tablets.
