Features

  • The Copper Spur HV UL2 Long 2-person tent gives you 8 in. of extra length plus 3–4 in. of extra height
  • Awning-style vestibules expand covered living space, which is great for both drizzle and sun protection
  • 3D bin "mezzanine" in the foot provides massive, off-the-floor storage; oversized ceiling pocket in the head; media pockets provide earbud cord-routing
  • Tent corner construction with TipLok Tent Buckle™ design streamlines and combines 3 functions: secure pole-tip capture, rainfly attachment and tensioner, and stake-out loop
  • TipLok buckles have a keyed hole to securely lock pole tip in place during setup; hinged design stabilizes structure by equalizing forces between tent body, rainfly and stake
  • Lightweight double ripstop nylon; mixed-denier fabric offers extra tear-strength and puncture-resistance without adding weight
  • 2 doors and 2 vestibules with double zippers provide multiple access options, letting you minimize wind-driven rain or snow getting into the tent
  • Dual low-vent vestibule door coupled with high-fly vent maximizes options for both active and passive airflow, reducing condensation in all weather conditions
  • Dual-zipper doors with easy-grip zipper pulls are smooth-closing and allow for easy entry and exit; use only one zipper for quick, reach-through access
  • Quick Stash door-keeper on the tent body door makes stowing an unzipped door quick and easy
  • Hook-and-loop closure tabs connect fly to pole structure, providing perfect pitch and extra stability
  • Precut guylines and tensioners are attached to the fly; reflective guylines and webbing on the tent corners make them easy to see at night
  • Prebent span pole coupled with the high-volume angle hub increases strength and stability, helps shed rain and snow, and creates optimal livable space
  • All seams are taped with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape (free of PVCs and VOCs); vestibule zippers protected with stormflap
  • Multiple interior loops make it easy to attach gear lofts, accessories and mtnGLO® tent and camp lights (not included)
  • Includes 8 Big Agnes Dirt Dagger UL stakes and 4 awning guylines
  • To extend the life of your tent floor, Big Agnes recommends using a matching footprint (not included); Fast Fly setup available with footprint

Light and roomy

Used this tent for our 21 day trip in Iceland. Held up great in the arctic storm in horstrander peninsula. Used it again on John Muir trail. Light and easy to set up. Only downside is the zipper does get stuck on the flap. Other than that great tent

A big, Big Agnes

Really impressed with this tent. I am taller at 6’4” and while I love the Quarter Dome line of tents from REI, my feet and head touch the top and bottom of the tent (no good for condensation). Camped this last weekend and the tent is really good. The room is terrific, I use it as a large 1-man but you could put two side by side. The near vertical walls are great and the gear loft at your feet and head are really well located to access your stuff. The zippers are surprisingly quiet and the whole tent just seems really well constructed. This is probably the highest quality tent I own. Not cheap, but very well made.

Great value for a lightweight backpacking tent!

Very light weight tent and easy to assemble. I've been using it for 3 years and it's still holding up well. Only down side is you must be careful with the zipper--it snags easily on the overlay. They may have improved this issue on the new model, but I'm not sure.

Where’s the ground tarp and stakes?

Great tent. Well made. Easy setup. Light weight. My only issue is that at the price it should include a ground tarp and enough stakes to properly stabilize the tent. I got 6. Requires 12. Come on BA. You can and should do better.

Tall persons dream!

Super light, super strong. I did 170 miles of the AT with this tent. I'm 6'6" and actually being able to fit into a tent is really freaking nice. It handled light snow and some serious rain and wind with no problems at all.

Love the tall size. Customer service lacking

I have been a long time fan of Big Agnes tents, and now own 4. I purchased the Copper Spur HV UL2 Long, as my new solo tent. Love the space inside; I can use my thermarest mattress "Lounge chair" inside the tent, sitting up comfortably. Love the foot gear loft, I can just pitch things in that would normally clutter my living space; e.g. stuff sacks, clothes, etc. It's important to use the velcro loops on the tent poles to prevent distortion with much loaded in this space. My only complaint is that on the second night out I had a straight down pouring rainstorm for only about an hour. Even with a taut pitch, splash back at the head and foot soaked through the seam between the bathtub floor and the "privacy extension" to the netting. This soaked both head convenience pockets and everything in them, and came in at the foot to dampen my sleeping bag a bit. Contact with customer service was not helpful, basically amounting to "yeah, splash back happens" and giving me advice in waterproofing the whole tent. I intend to reseal the head and foot seams, but for the price, BA should have done it.
