Quality boots but too hard to pull on
Had intended for winter bike riding, as use 100g primaloft boots now and they've been warm. Excited to try 200g primaloft but found these boots much toooo hard to pull on, regardless of thickness of sock. Customer Service alerted they would stretch a little with time, but returned as only way to find out is to use, and then can't return ... plus, doubted if "a little" stretch would make enough difference. Interestingly, Danner has several 200g primaloft boot options for women but fewer options for men. Have other Danner products and a great American company but missing the mark on men options here.
I was hesitant in purchasing
I was hesitant in purchasing these boots. I have been waiting for the Mountain 600 4.5 200 G., but I settled for these since the wait has been since 10/2021. The cuff around the ankle performed better than I thought, and the non-stick works just like the Mountain 600s, so overall I will give it the 5 stars, but I still wear the Mountain 600 200g boots just only in the house now.
Sizing is just right. Construction
Sizing is just right. Construction seems solid, but I haven’t put them to the test yet. The first wear did hurt around the opening of one of the shoes on the front side of the foot like other reviews stated, but that seems to have gone away. I love the slip on style, and the cushioning is quite comfortable. It has eliminated the need for me to pack multiple pairs of shoes when traveling because it serves many purposes and the black suede like materials almost pass off as a dressier shoe.
I purchased the insulated Chelsa
I purchased the insulated Chelsa as I already have an uninsulated pair. Both are very comfortable and grip well. The insulated version grips the ice a bit better. I bought them in order to have something for colder days, but not really sure these are really that much warmer than the uninsulated version, thus the 4 rating. AS winter boots having a smooth finish would make more sense. Sprayed Danner's water proof on them. So far still looking good and staying dry.

I bought this for my husband. He likes them but finds them a little too firm. He has an orthotic he would like to use but it doesn’t fit. I also have a couple pairs of the 600 and would prefer more cushioning My foot doctor told me that Danner soles were known for being very firm and recommended other shoes (Hoka which is overkill). I think Birkenstock are also too firm but now they have a softer option.

These fit great. They are warm and easy to put on and take off. The only issue is the area on the front/top of the boot digging into the front of my ankle and being slightly uncomfortable. However After two weeks of wear, it does seem like less of an issue than when I first put them on. Happy with purchase.
FREEZING
I work law enforcement in Maine. I wore these boots to work and I was outside (under cover from snow) for approx 2 hours with a small heater next to me and my feet are FREEZING. They are okay if you keep moving and above freezing temps but on a snowy day they are terrible. not worth the $ in my opinion.
The only issue is a
The only issue is a design flaw. The inside stitching of the forward loop on the top, forward, part of the shoe rubbed my upper ankle raw. It was enough to rate the shoe poorly. I have Romeos that I love so I went with Danner for a snow boot but this makes me think twice about wearing them.
These shoes were way too
These shoes were way too big, probably by a full size. The traction is good in snow and ice and they’re warm. I would have liked more padding as they’re not very comfortable after standing/walking in them for over an hour. I’d give them 4 stars if they were true to size.
Absolutely love these shoes. Traction
Absolutely love these shoes. Traction is amazing in freezing conditions and sole rigidity is just perfect. Paired up with the fatigue fighter insoles…I wear them everyday for work. I even bought a back up pair. My feet thank you!
