Most comfortable shoe I have ever worn
One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They feel like I am wearing a mitten on my feet. Amazing sole as well. 7 months after buying them the sole is still grippy and barely looks worn down. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the waterproofing failed after a few months. Not terribly, but if I have to have my foot in water for more than 1 second, I feel it seep in in one area.

great boot if u size it right
is a great lightweight boot with strong ankle support but you need to try it on to get the right size so buy it in a store. As with other reviews the boot does run really small. It is also quite narrow so I had to go up a full size from normal hiking boots to get a good fit. The sole has very deep rugged grip and can handle everything mud and wet and varied terrain. I have not tried it in cold weather yet so don't know about insulation or grip in ice or snow.

Pisgah Boots are a great choice for the trail !

I was introduced to Astral in 2020 when I became the lifestyle directors for the Olympic Training Site in Oklahoma City, OK . This location has one of the 3 Olympic Level white water centers in the United States. My waterman background was being in the ocean (California) The raft guides in OKC loved the astral shoes. So I got some TR1’s and really put them to work at the facility and in the Oklahoma waterways. I have been in the industry for 3 decades and 100% dig Astral. We lived in Charlotte, NC for 11 years and very famliar with Asheville, NC and the Pisgah National Forest. The Pisgah boots are so comfortable and love the materials. Just came back from a trip to Bend, OR and brought the Pisgah’s rather than my Blundstones. Great pick !!

Comfortable but not waterproof after 4 months

Bough this back in 2023 right before my Feb trip Patagonia. Very comfortable, and perhaps the most comfortable waterproof boots I've ever had. One big issue I had was that metal waterproof logo was rubbing against on the top of my ankle, which I resolved by covering it with duck tape on the inside. Although such logo is totally unnecessary. And by May of 2023, when I was using it biking in Denali National Park, with daily rain for 3 days, the boots are not waterproof any longer. I still use it when I need to wear boots but I'm now in the search for that lightweight waterproof boots again.

Great Boot for Both Hiking and Urban Exploring

I bought these boots a couple months ago for a hiking trip to New Zealand's South island. I wanted something light, comfortable, sturdy, grippy, waterproof and good looking enough to wear out to a casual dinner. After wearing these for almost three weeks and hiking an average of seven miles each day, I can confirm that these checked all the boxes. From urban exploring in Sydney to glacier hiking around Mt. Cook and Franz Josef, these boots were amazing. And they still look new! They ran true to size for me and have great space in the toe box while providing excellent support. Great product.

Everything that I was looking for

The summer time boot I was looking for. Light weight, good ankle support, and drys quickly. I re-tore a ligament in my ankle two months back and am only allowing myself to wear boots this summer. I bought these online without trying them on and I am very satisfied. They seem to run true to size and meet all three criteria mentioned above. I just got back from a three day canoe trip and they do smell a bit but were everything that I hoped for on and off the water. Im planning on ordering a second pair. One for everyday dry use and then dedicate the current pair for those days on the water.

Perfect for everyday

Well made, clean design. Light and great fit. Take note; I had to buy 1/2 larger than my normal Mens 9.5.

Great, but runs really small

Very comfortable everyday hiking boots, with the right amount of stiffness and support. But wow are these smaller/shorter than normal. I typically wear an 11.5 with more than enough toe room. My toes weren’t just hitting the front of the shoe a little, my toes were actually crunched in these.

Outstanding Boot!

Outstanding fit! I ordered a half size up and these fit like a glove. Hug your heel, plenty of toe room. Super grippy sole! I’m so glad I took a chance on these boots! I’m astounded that you can’t find them in stores, because if so they’d sell like hot cakes!
