Perfect
Great grip for MTBiking. So comfortable, light weight, breathable, honestly everything I wanted out of this shoe. I am a true size 8 in women and my big toe does touch the ends of my shoes. It’s not uncomfortable, although I would love to try on an 8.5 to see if it fits any better. The sole, heel, width, everything fits me perfectly. I would hands down buy a new pair if the return shipping was free. I don’t think it is. I also wish they weren’t as expensive. I suppose if they last the way I want them to, then the price is totally worth it. Black Diamond Equipment, do you have free return shipping?? If so, I would love to buy more and try one size larger! I would buy any color !
Approach shoe to climb or hike or cycle?
Comfortable. Flexible toebox. Does not rub toes. Does not support ankles much. They have some decent sticky soles. Soles are solid. Would not recommend for extended hikes. Good for short trail cycling. Or clinging to a small rocky area close to the ground. Wear 11 and ordered 11. It is essential you allow room for toe flexion. I preferred from REI because of return policy. So far. So good
Versatile shoe
I love this shoe! It's so versatile- I live in a CO mountain town and the Mojave desert and this shoe has been a great everyday shoe or a short hike shoe in both locations. I feel confident leaving the office to climb up a scree hill or walking my dogs over the snow! It's definitely my go-to choice as it's warm enough for below freezing and not too hot for 100+ degrees. The fit was great right out of the box. If I had to complain (and that's a big IF), the ball of my foot by the big toe isn't always a fan of the climbing grip there on a longer hike (4+miles) but that's to be expected- I wouldn't change it because using that to boulder up a peak is extremely useful. The color was a little lighter grey than expected, but that works okay for me since they get sandy from the desert. The sand brushes off with ease, too! I highly recommend these shoes.
Super lightweight
I bought these not knowing what to expect. They are extremely lightweight and don't seem to have much support, which is ok with me. I wore these on an extend trip where I was flying overseas and wanted something just like this. Great to walk around town, airport, and easy to slip on and off. These are so nice I may keep them for town shoes but soles look like they'd hold up nicely for short crag hikes, not sure about longer hauls..
1-day break-in period, then Super Comfortable
The first full day of wearing them (all day on my feet in a climbing gym, I was working, not climbing) was a little rough while I broke them in, but after that, these are my favorite casual + climbing gym shoe! I credit the comfort to the flexibility of the sole and the soft and flexible upper material. Other perks, they grip to plastic holds really well, are stylish and can easily convert to "slip-on" if tied loosely.

Super Comfy
I bought online having never worn Black Diamond shoes before. I normally wear a 9.5 and the shoe fits true to size. Been wearing them for the past month or so and I have no complaints. They are soft, well-cushioned and breathe easily. I live in Atlanta and bike a lot so I appreciate that rigidity of the sole doesn't compromise the comfort of the shoe. I use the shoe primarily for walking and (commute) bicycling.
weird sizing, no support.
Really liked the look of these and was excited to try them, but found them to be overall disappointing. I ordered a half size up based on other recommendations and they were still too small. The shape of the toe box is weird I had barely enough room for my big toe and then the rest of my toes hit the front of the shoe and I don't have especially long toes. They also have no support at all.
I live in these shoes
These are my favorite approach shoes of all time. They're casual enough to be comfortable to wear both to and from the gym and around town but they also hold up when routesetting or scrambling around in the mountains. The rubber is super sticky and durable. Highly recommend.
Super Comfy!
I bought these shoes about a month ago and have been wearing them all the time now. They are my favorite shoes to wear to the climbing gym as I can go from a workout to teaching kids in the same shoes. They allow me to demonstrate proper climbing techniques.
Great to get from point A to B
I love these shoes! I use them as everyday sneakers for getting to/from work, errands or taking walks. Probably not the greatest for more engaging hiking. Very comfy and cute. I'll be buying another pair when I wear these out.
