Many good qualities but the "wide" toe box isn't.
I haven't worn a minimally cushioned shoe for a long time so it took a bit of walking around the house to get used to it. The shoe seems well made and was attractive. I did like the decreased cushioning; it allowed me to feel more in contact with the ground. I purchased the lunar rock/fig color and was surprised to find the only fig color was in the extra set of laces. I might have probably would have given the shoes 5 stars except that the purported wide toe box was not as wide as I expected (think Hoka Bondi or Keen shoes with original fit), making the Xero shoe uncomfortable. I am returning them.
Best Shoes
This is my second pair of Xero shoes. I have arthritis in my foot and these shoes have been the most comfortable shoes to wear. They are minimal, similar to a barefoot shoe but so good for your feet. I will be getting these from now on.
So Freaking Comfortable
I waited until late in the day when my feet are the achiest from arthritis and I am so impressed! I ordered my normal size of 8 regular and they are perfect. Comfy and lightweight with zero break in period. Love the pair of fig laces that were included as an extra to the white ones already in them. I’m going to swap them out soon for some pizazz! The one and only thing that bothers me is the way the toe area makes it look like I walk on the inside part of each foot. I feel certain that I’ll get over this minor detail soon enough. These are keepers!
