Easy set up!

I camped three nights at three different parks with this set up and it was awesome. It feels really roomy inside and I was very comfortable with my twin blow up bed and all of my gear in the back. I have a BedRug so I didn't have to put anything down. Note: The instructions say to attach all of the straps to the truck before you put the poles up but that was way harder and took twice as long. Spread out the tent in the bed with the edges over the sides. Put the orange marked poles in and tuck the edges into the little pockets (it will look like a flat, wide tent on top of the bed). Brace the pole ends against the back of the cab of the truck and set the corners on top of the rim of the truck bed. Attach the orange straps to the anchor rings in the truck bed or the cables that hold your tailgate (the orange straps are what really hold the tent together and create the shape). Then, go INSIDE the tent and pull the inside flaps inside to rest on top of the rim of the bed- the tent pockets should be IN the bed, hanging down the side. Go outside and attach and tighten the outside straps to the sides of the truck. Last, put the last pole over the doorway on. If you're going to add the real fly, just fling it over the top and buckle it down.

Going to return tent - it’s poor design causes it to leak around the entryway when it rains.

Love it!

First time using it and loved it. Camping at Assateague Island (in Maryland) with the wild horses- too many times the horses would wake me in middle of night and scare me with their antics literally next to my tent, so wanted to get off the ground but didn't want to invest in a camper. Feels like a roomy bedroom, ceiling higher than expected! This is easy to set up and take down: note, add poles before tightening straps, otherwise it's too tight and hard to get last pole end in! For the orange strap that you're supposed to slip under tailgate gap, I just clipped to the tiedown rings that are already installed at the back of my truckbed. My third night it was super windy and tent held up perfect. I didn't experience rain but looked like it would do well in heavy rains. Reminder that this doesn't have a bottom- I do have a lined truck bed but I also put a blanket down under my air mattress. Also learned next time I would set up bed first before adding tent but it was fine to do it after still. Easy to get in/out and nice to not have to crawl on ground- also made take down super easy!

Great tent with a small design flaw in heavy rain

I love this tent. It's easy to set up, doesn't leak even in heavy rain, and is roomy enough for me to stand up inside. It's so much cheaper than the hard frame rooftop tents I see on SUVs. The only design flaw I've found, after several uses, is that during my most recent trip, a heavy rain caused water to collect between the two seams that run the length of the truck bed rails. There was at least a cup of water between the two tent layers of this area in the morning, and because it's an enclosed rectangle, there was no way for the water to drain. All I could do was squeeze it out like a sponge and get the water to seep out of the seams. I couldn't get it all out before packing the tent back up though, so I had to put it back in my truck with a fair amount of water still dripping out of it and leave for a 3-day backpacking trip. There has to go be way to drain this area!

Awesome

I bought this tent 5 years ago, now as a 60 yr. old grandmother who loves going camping w/ my kids and grandkids. It is difficult for me to get up/down on ground. This tent fit my F150 perfectly. I use a step stool to get up into the back of the pickup/tent. My only complaint is there is no bottom, but does effect the rain tightness of this tent. :star:️:star:️:star:️:star:️:star:️

This tent is amazing!

My wife and I just went across the Northwestern United States, through 9 States (13 days) in a Tacoma in this tent. Absolutely amazing experience. 80 mile an hour winds with torrential downpour with hail and we stayed dry. After seeing our trip, my buddy just hit me up today asking where he can get one.

Great but damaged on arrival

Love this tent did a ton of research and heard all great things. Finally ordered one, got it based off the sizing chart, but when I set it up the first time discovered a rip up one of the corner seams. Had to fix myself and sew on a patch.
